I welcome the opportunity to work with students seeking support. In addition to talking, I use a range of expressive methods to assist with personal growth and healing, including imagery, writing, drama, and movement. Using a mind/body/spirit approach, I enjoy assisting students with enhancing their own holistic well-being.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or burned out? As a counselor, it is my job to listen to your story, empathize with your emotions, and work with you to improve your well-being. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you create more meaning in your life, improve the way you see yourself, and control those racing thoughts you may be experiencing. I have eight years working as a mental health professional and I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with self-image, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Changing the way we view ourselves and the world around us can be a difficult journey, and I am committed to helping you every step of the way. I support individuals 16+ in overcoming daily stress, loneliness, self-image, relationship issues, career and school difficulties, burnout, depression, and anxiety.

How are you doing with the dystopia? I'm Cori, and with me, therapy starts by acknowledging that we are living in the dark ages. But my clients are heroic. They're intrepid. They're wise. They are struggling to make meaning and survive in a harsh and terrifying era. Most of us feel pretty powerless. I try to offer a brand of queer Buddhist wizardry that helps people break generational curses, find the power they DO have, and create community that sustains them. I offer many evidence based approaches to therapy, especially those that help us change our relationship with ourselves, and changing our relationship with life and reality. Existential therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, and narrative approaches are my bread-and-butter. I also work from a great deal of other experiences; as an activist, queer organizer, drag artist, social work professor, and a student of many wisdom traditions. I lived abroad in both Europe and Asia and know how alienating, frightening, and difficult it can be to adjust to a radically different culture. I studied tàijíquán and Daoist thought on Wǔdāng mountain in central China from 2010 to 2011, and have studied and practiced Buddhism since 2011 with various Tibetan, Bhutanese, and western Lamas.

As an athlete, you know that performance is as much about your internal state as it is about your training and skill. I help college athletes master the mental side of their sport by treating anxiety at its physiological roots. Using a combination of EMDR to clear performance blocks and in-depth nervous system education, we’ll move beyond the "grind" to build genuine resilience and confidence. Whether you are stepping onto the field or approaching the bar, my goal is to ensure your body and mind are synced, helping you transition from being overwhelmed by pressure to being fueled by it.

I treat each client as a unique individual, ensuring you feel heard and validated as we work to uncover the roots of your challenges. Together, we’ll forge a path toward change and healing. I believe therapy is for everyone and can help you discover the happiness and peace that might be missing from your life. Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new places, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I enjoy quality time with my family, friends, and my beloved cat and dog. Most of all, I cherish being surrounded by people who make me smile and laugh. My sessions are centered around providing clients with a warm, safe, and comfortable environment where they can confidently express themselves. I support clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and low self-esteem; helping them to build emotional resilience and achieve their goals.

You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. My individual practice is made up of college students who are in college or soon to be transitioning into the real world. My model is CBT , but tailor sessions to the needs of each individual. Some students might need hands on direction , while others just a supportive and safe place to share and have someone listen. I feel I provide a comforting and safe environment . I love to focus on mindfulness tools to help with stress and time management.

Children, teenagers, and young adults are more overwhelmed today than ever. The daily challenges they face can be highly stressful and can lead to significant impairments in self-esteem, family relationships, school functioning, friendships, and other important areas of life. My ultimate goals as a therapist are to help young people find good life balance and develop a sense of peace within themselves. I enjoy providing a space where individuals and families can safely work through difficult situations, while learning to feel good about themselves, acquire problem-solving skills, maximize their natural strengths, and utilize the supports they have in their lives.

For close to 20 years, I have worked in the field of mental health and addiction. I have extensive experience working with all disorders from mild to severe and specialize in working with the dual diagnosed (mental health and addictions) population; especially those suffering from mood disorders, anxiety disorders and trauma related issues. I am able to offer guidance and support to not only the client who is suffering but their family and support system as well. I believe that all people are capable of improving their life with hard work, openness and a desire for change. I am passionate about working with individuals that have experienced trauma in their lives and assisting them with rebuilding their lives and finding peace, wholeness and health. I am trained in several modalities; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction. I have extensive experience facilitating both group and individual counseling and genuinely believe that all people are capable of change if they are willing to work hard and commit to the process.

Maybe you’ve been through relational trauma, adoption, or foster care, or had to play the “responsible one,” or learned early on to keep the peace, stay perfect, and not take up too much space. Maybe you’re just tired of feeling anxious in relationships, like you’re never quite sure where you stand—or who you’re allowed to be. You deserve support that really gets it. The Therapy Center for Transformative Growth (TCTG) was founded by two adoptees from foster care—also therapists—who couldn’t find the kind of care they needed, so they built it. Our center is a space for anyone navigating complex family dynamics, attachment wounds, identity questions, and the lasting impact of early or repeated loss. We’re especially attuned to supporting college-aged adults, BIPOC folks, LGBTQIA+ communities, and women—people whose stories are often misunderstood, minimized, or ignored altogether. Our therapists help you name what’s been hard, understand how it’s shaped you, and find new ways to move through the world—with more clarity, connection, and compassion for yourself. Therapy with us isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you come home to yourself.

I assist in helping my clients find meaning and fulfillment in life by being engaged and by actively guiding you through your unique life challenges. Most of my clients come see me because they just know life could be better. It HAS to be. For many people who walk through my door, their lives aren't shattered, lying breathless in the corner. These people get up every single day and do the thing. But somehow, somewhere, something still feels off. Maybe it's your relationship. Maybe it's you. Maybe you don't know what it is, but life just doesn't seem right. You're not fully happy. Not yet. I help couples, families, and individuals live better. How? By having lived lots of lives, I've developed a unique perspective. One that has allowed me to develop a mental wellness expertise that mixes therapeutic techniques found in human services and combines them with the results-oriented coaching and leadership skills derived from the professional services field. This specific meld of mojo enables me to provide a different kind of service and perspective where other help may have been unsuccessful.
