Completely overextended as a woman? Burnt out? Stuck? Resentful? Maybe your body feels like a mystery no one has the time—or patience—to help you figure out? We are not biologically wired to cope with life alone. Even if we are not "alone" sometimes the ones we love lack the ability to fully support or understand us. Even if they may be a solid part of our support system. This is where therapy comes in. I specialize in guiding individuals through the intricate terrain of strong emotions. I have completed extensive training and research on healing strategies targeted for those trying to heal from adverse life experiences, trauma, ptsd, c-ptsd (attatchment/early childhood wounds) anxiety, depression, anger, and borderline personality disorder. **Treatment Modalities:** I am trained in EMDR, designed to reduce emotional distress due to traumatic life experiences. I also have special training in its use for helping those with borderline personality disorder and early childhood wounds, and anxiety-related issues. EMDR is considered a first-line treatment for trauma and has been shown to reduce emotional distress and accelerate the healing process. In addition, I use cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which has similar aims through different treatment techniques. Somatic (mind-body) techniques are also incorporated throughout the treatment process. We can talk about what will be the best fit for you. I also incorporate dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) skills for emotion regulation to tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, and anger. My clients will have take-home strategies that they can use outside of therapy. If you think we would be a good fit, I can be reached by call, text, or email.
My areas of expertise include anxiety, grief, trauma recovery, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families on their healing journey of untangling the past and striving toward a better, more fulfilling future. I strive to empower my clients to overcome challenges, foster resilience, and live their most authentic lives. I would love to get to know you and help you process your emotions, develop new coping skills, and work through the various transitions of life.
You may be a member of the LGBTQ+ community and experiencing challenges that others may not understand. Perhaps you're tired of not expressing yourself, feeling like you must hide parts of yourself to keep the peace, or feeling ashamed. Or maybe your relationship with sex is difficult, the spark in your partnership lost, or you're unsure how to communicate your desires and needs. You might not even remember a time things didn't feel this way. One thing is for sure; you're ready for some relief. You want to start living authentically. When you choose me as your therapist, you're choosing someone who understands the LGBTQ+ community from the inside. Therapy is a safe space where you can feel at ease and valued. Our sessions will be more than just conversations-they will be guided journeys. Together, we'll strengthen your relationships and equip you with the tools for effective communication. As an experienced LGBTQ+ marriage and family therapist, I believe that we all deserve respect and connection. You don't have to continue hiding who you are from those you love most. So call, text, or email me today to set up a free 15-minute consultation. You are my passion, and I can't wait to hear from you.
Life often asks women to hold so much—caring for others, navigating relationships, balancing responsibilities, and carrying silent struggles that can feel overwhelming. If you’ve been moving through an eating disorder, body image concerns, grief, trauma, fertility challenges, or simply the load of expectations, you deserve a place that feels safe, affirming, and collaborative. In our work together, you’ll find space to be fully seen and supported, with compassion guiding every step as you reconnect with your strength, your voice, and your true self. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where honesty, care, and curiosity guide our work. Rather than quick fixes, I help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with parts of yourself that feel lost. Together, we’ll build safety and trust while using evidence-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting healing. Here, every part of you is welcome—your questions, your grief, your dreams, and your story. This is a place to release what you’ve been carrying, to feel deeply supported, and to rediscover your resilience. I'll honor your process, creating space for healing, growth, and a return to you, but an updated you that feels in alignment with where you see yourself.
You’ve always been the one who holds it together. The friend everyone leans on, the one who keeps the peace, even when you're falling apart inside. You’re kind, thoughtful, and always thinking about how others feel—sometimes to the point of losing sight of what you need. Maybe you grew up in a home where speaking up was risky, or you were labeled as “too much.” Now, in college or early adulthood, you feel lost - constantly second-guessing yourself, unsure who you are outside of relationships or achievements. You want to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life—but you’re not sure where to start.

My sessions are 75-min because it gives us the time we need to go a little deeper. If you’ve got anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, and/or run of the mill existential angst, I’ve been there, so we’ll probably be a good fit. Text me and we’ll set up a time to chat.
Navigating young adulthood can feel like a constant balancing act—school, work, relationships, and figuring out who you are. I work with young adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, and life transitions. Whether it’s managing the pressure to “have it all together” or finding clarity in the middle of change, I provide a safe space to slow down, breathe, and reset. My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative. I use CBT, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation to help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface and give you practical tools you can actually use. And if you’d like, we can integrate faith into sessions for added support. Together, we’ll focus on small, doable steps that bring relief now and set you up for the future you want.
You're probably here because there is a part of you that knows you were created for more. You were made for deeper connections, more freedom and laughter, a greater sense of purpose and fullness of life. Life is hard. And somewhere along the way we begin relating to ourselves and others from a place of fear and woundedness. We numb ourselves, make ourselves small, and hide the parts that we fear will be rejected. We get stuck in patterns of feeling unlovable, unworthy, afraid, and disconnected from joy. Therapy can help you realign with your true self and find compassion and healing for the parts that feel stuck.
Do you feel on edge, stuck in your head, or like you can’t fully connect with the people you care about? Maybe your chest tightens in conflict, or you shut down when things get too overwhelming. These are signs your nervous system is in overdrive—and it’s not your fault. Through integrative somatic and creative therapies, I’ll help you tune into your body, calm your system, and feel safer in yourself and your relationships.
Hello! I'm Lina, a compassionate psychotherapist specializing in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and self-esteem. As an immigrant myself, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, combining professional expertise with personal understanding. I believe in strength-based, culturally sensitive therapy. By integrating family therapy, attachment theory, and psychodynamic components, I help my clients explore their thought patterns and root conflicts. I also incorporate critical race theory, queer theory, and feminist perspectives to contextualize experiences and empower change.
Having trouble adjusting to life's stressors? I am passionate about helping clients discover their strengths and unique gifts to help them overcome whatever obstacle they are facing. I truly believe everyone already has the potential inside of them to feel healthy, happy, and fulfilled in their life - I am here just to be a patient and friendly guide in that journey inward. I strive to make everyone feel comfortable in my (virtual) office, whether it is your first time in therapy or you are a lifelong therapy fan.
Our time together will be spent figuring the aspects- emotional, intellectual, sensory-based, and behavioral- of life through out your own story. Growing into learning how to listen to yourself so you can trust what it is you know, and what it is you need will be at the core of each session so that the feelings of stress, overwhelm, anxiousness, depression no longer keep you detached from yourself. The tools I use are done with cultural considerations, and by acknowledging the extra burdens social constructs and systemic environments put on you. I start with listening and being a witness to your story. With your consent, I use therapeutic tools to assist you in taking an objective stance in your story, and in offering yourself compassion. Continuing through developing and honing in on how you understand your experience through strengthening the connection between your mind and body. I am also trained in and have used EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) with children, teens, adults of both the neurodiverse (Autism, ADHD, etc.) and neurotypical populations. EMDR is used in session, with your consent, when you feel the need to address larger internal hurdles such as phobias or trauma(s) (also known as PTSD or C-PTSD). All of the work will be done at your pace and with your specific needs in mind. I am an affirming counselor and believe counseling should be for everyone. I understand the systemic pressure that can have you trying to “get it right!” A benefit to you may be my stance on de-stigmatizing mental health by avoiding rigid diagnoses and accepting that there is more than one way to live and thrive in this/your world. I will be ready when you are. Until then, good luck on your search. My license number is #93296. I am supervised by Stamatis Bogdanos, LPC-S | #64556 in Houston, Tx.
