Note: I work for Wellness Works Counseling, LLC. Feel free to call the number below and request to work with me if it seems we will be a good fit! Tina is a counseling psychologist who believes therapy should be supportive, collaborative, and meaningful. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English secondary education from Thiel College, a master’s degree in general experimental psychology from Bucknell University, and her doctorate in counseling psychology from Carlow University. She completed her doctoral internship at the University of Pittsburgh Counseling Center, where she worked closely with university students, providing therapy, assessments, and crisis support. Tina enjoys working with emerging adults who may be navigating life transitions, questions of identity, or challenges in relationships. She also supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or difficulty managing emotions. Tina is especially drawn to working with clients who are curious about themselves and motivated to grow—whether that means learning practical coping skills, understanding emotional and relational patterns more deeply, or creating greater balance and fulfillment in daily life. Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and integrative. Tina blends DBT- and CBT-informed skills with psychodynamic and relational perspectives, tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered, honoring clients as the experts in their own lives while working together toward meaningful change. Tina is deeply committed to multicultural competence and values the cultural, social, and systemic factors that shape each person’s experiences and identity. People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Though the process of therapy can be difficult, I bring an accepting and compassionate mindset to our relationship that will help you feel comfortable in session and leave therapy feeling more satisfied, skillful, and empowered. I typically work with college students, adults, and older adolescents. I primarily work from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) perspectives. I also integrate components of other orientations where helpful and tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual characteristics and needs of each client. The majority of my training has been in college counseling and community mental health. My areas of interest and expertise include trauma, OCD, social anxiety, specific phobia, panic disorder, emotion dysregulation, issues of overcontrol, nonsuicidal self-injury, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together!
Hello! I'm Erika (they/them/theirs), and I am passionate about helping adults with ADHD move from feeling stuck, ashamed, and discouraged, to curious and engaged with life. I use a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS), ADHD Coaching, and embodied creative practices (rooted in my training as a Dance/Movement Therapist), based on the needs of each client. These tools help us to untangle deeply rooted patterns, and build systems that you enjoy and that help you succeed. Additionally, I love supporting people who are neurodivergent and exploring or struggling with their gender identity or sexuality.
People come to me because they are struggling and feel stuck or overwhelmed. I see lots of college students in my practice and specialize in working with people who are challenged by anxiety, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (level 1) but I have experience with many different issues. My approach involves providing information about how the brain works, how to use it as your ally instead of an enemy, and how to find strength in the very things that challenge you. (ex: There are so many wonderful things about having ADHD!) I do this in the context of interpersonal relationships where we talk about things like identity and communication/conflict resolution skills. I also work with people going through a major life transition. I will help you to sort through your feelings and options, work with you to find insights that inspire positive decisions and changes, and help you to be patient with yourself as you work to figure things out. I pride myself as being an LGBTQ affirming therapist. 15 minute walk from WCU. I also have free, off-street parking. Rates listed below are my discount rates for registered students and not my full rate.

I welcome the chance to work with college students now that I have my own practice.

It was at PSU that I decided that I wanted to help others. After graduating from the Human Development and Family Studies program, I decided to further my education by attending graduate school at Loyola University Maryland. There I obtained my Master's in Counseling Psychology and completed additional coursework so that I could eventually become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Over the last 16 years I have had the pleasure of working with children, teens, young adults and adults. I have experience working with college students and understand the unique pressures that PhD candidates face. I strive to provide an environment that clients feel safe, supported, and validated. In turn, this will lead to a positive therapeutic relationship in which self-reflection and processing can take place. My goal is for you to recognize your strengths uncover your hidden potential. I hope to help you with whatever obstacles or challenges you may be facing. Please view my website for more information on my therapeutic approach, a look at my office, and insurances I accept.

I spent 24 years studying and working in universities as a student (undergrad and grad), program coordinator (staff), assistant professor (faculty), and state specialist (extension). I worked hard to earn my degrees and make my mark in academia, but I was often looking for guidance and support from my peers about my career. Sometimes finding a listening ear who truly understood me, my strengths, and my goals was challenging. This sparked ideas for a career change, and back to school I went for 5 years part-time while working as a professor, being a spouse, raising two young kids, and still fitting-in some outside pursuits. I became a counselor, and I founded AutumnSpring Counseling, to help students, faculty, staff, and others connected to universities navigate through and cope with the challenges of academic study and work. I am dual certified in mental health (NCC) and career counseling (CCC), and I strive to help clients develop strategies for their present and their future career situations. Through counseling, assessment and evaluation tools, and career strategizing, I help clients process the challenges, decisions, and transitions related to their career and their personal wellness. My website offers a lot of good details about me and the clientele I help the best, so please visit www.autumnspring.co. Once you read there, if I interest you, please email or call me and let's set up a time for a free 25-minute consultation call.
