Therapists for college students near Indianapolis, IN
Compassionate, Evidence-Based Therapy for Adults, Teens, Couples, & Families
My main areas of focus are working with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, codependency, gender identity, emotional regulation, ADHD, Autism, and relationship issues. I use a lot of psychoeducation to help you build yourself a toolbox of resources to help you get through the demands of college courses. Talk therapy to empower my clients and help them learn why they are experiencing whatever it is that they are experiencing.
Let me be your guide to better understanding yourself and why you think, feel, and behave in the ways that you do. You know yourself better than anyone, but I can help you notice patterns that have been hidden or locked away. Whether experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns, or a low self-esteem, it is my hope to give you a soft space to land with genuine care and kindness. I’ve been a practitioner for 5 years specializing in anxiety, attachment wounds, inner child work, and sex & sexuality. I work with lots of different populations, but mostly work with femmes, trans and nonbinary folks, and the LGBTQ+ community. My goal as your therapist is for you to get to know yourself and others in a more attuned, empathetic, and compassionate way. In my personal time I love to read (expect a lot of book recommendations) and occasionally crochet. I love a good cup of coffee, practicing yoga, and connecting with the earth and nature through native gardening and hiking.
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Stephanie, a licensed mental health therapist and owner of Inner Emotions Counseling, LLC. I started my practice in 2021 and am currently working with clients up to age 25. My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, substance use and family/relationship issues. I strive to meet clients where they’re at using a solution-focused therapeutic style. I often turn to using cognitive behavioral therapy as well which helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. No problem is too big to overcome and I’ll be with you every step of the way in your journey. I graduated with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2020 and also have a Masters in Addictions Counseling from there as well. I completed this degree in 2021. I realized I wanted to be a therapist after teaching for a year in Indianapolis Public Schools. I earned my Bachelors degree from Butler University in 2015 and played collegiate soccer while doing so. My current hobbies include playing indoor soccer, being outside, spending time with my pets, reading and traveling. I’d love to help you overcome your presenting problems and help you move forward in life. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think I’d be a good fit in your journey!

Krystal is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been a nurse for 11 years working with individuals across the lifespan. After searching for a minority therapist in one of the local hospital systems and counting on one hand the providers she knew she wanted to make a difference. She believes in taking care of the whole body, mind, and spirit. Krystal works in collaboration with a physician to make sure she provides the best overall care for each individual. She brings a pretty smile, compassion, dignity of the individual, sense of humor, and respect to everyone. She believes having an integrative service is best overall for each individual. She is trained in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. She has experience working with adolescent population, adult/geriatric population, public health, helping the homeless population with resources, training on Narcan administration, Fentanyl test strips training, and Xylazine test strips training. She advocates for her patients and provides essential tools to survive. She will be providing medication management, and educational training. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". ~Jeremiah 29:11
I work with clients who are going through life or identity transitions and for those feel alone, anxious, depressed, haunted by their past, or trapped in their tangled thoughts. I also specialize in personality disorders and/or religious trauma. Education on social justice issues, including racial, cultural, LGBTQ+, and religious differences, is a top priority for me. Not all human experiences can be expressed verbally, so I am trained in both traditional talk therapy and offer art therapy as well. My guidance typically involves reframing thoughts, building assertiveness, identifying/managing emotions, trauma-informed care, harm reduction models, and processing experiences. I am also one of the only therapists in Indiana who identifies as a pagan and secular provider. If you are looking for a non-religious therapist who understands growing up in a religious environment, reach out!
Everyone deserves a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe clients are the experts in themselves and I provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment. One request I may ask of clients when we work together is that labels like “right” or “wrong” are strongly discouraged in sessions. Letting go of those labels in session is an important part of creating that safe space. The most common struggles of the people I work with include Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, struggles with assertiveness, gray-area substance use, and anger outbursts. The other mindfulness practices can help with managing anxiety, impulsivity, and intrusive thoughts. As your recovery evolves in stages, your treatment will too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing since 2018. My specialties include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy, as well as other mindfulness practices.
