Transitioning into college can bring up a lot of emotions/feelings. It is often difficult to sort everything out. I find that I am able to provide college students with coping tools to help them achieve goals for themselves within and even outside of the university setting. Please let me help and be a part of your informal support system. I specialize in trauma and am certified in EMDR therapy. I also specialize in anxiety and trained in ERP. I incorporate a lot of IFS into treatment as well.

My first priority is that you feel SAFE in this space. We won't dive into the deep end on day one. Instead, we’ll go at your pace, focusing on building a space where you feel safe enough to exhale first. My goal isn’t to 'fix' you (because I don't believe that you are broken), but to partner with you in figuring out what’s getting in the way of the life you want. I specialize in working with people who are skeptical of the therapy process, nervous about opening up, or people who haven't had the best experiences in the past with treatment and maybe think therapy isn't for them. Additionally, most of my clients come to me with issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and addiction. Kix is a therapy dog who joins me at work every day too and would be happy to join you in session! But don't worry - he can also take a nap during your session if you prefer.

Hi there! Thanks for taking some time to read more about me and my work. As a therapist, I have a huge passion for helping young adults struggling with questions such as "Who am I?" "Where do my feelings come from?" and "What do I do from here?". I spend many hours with clients diving deeper into these questions, and helping clients with issues surrounding anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and identity. I look forward to answering any questions you may have, and potentially working with you in the future!

As a former high school teacher, I have helped adolescents as they transition into adulthood. Now as a therapist, I enjoy working with individuals and couples through transitions of all kinds. I can help navigate the big life changes adolescents face, issues within family dynamics (family and marital issues), and issues that come with career changes and aging. I am an excellent resource for those suffering with anxiety, depression and BPD, especially those newly diagnosed with BPD. I am here to listen non-judgmentally and cheerlead you in your progress and growth while providing you skills and tools to get there. I use a skill-based approach to help clients learn and grow in their emotional wellness. I also incorporate a lot of mindfulness as clients learn to name and express their emotions. Finally, I love exploring spirituality (regardless of belief system) and incorporating this into treatment. Above all, I am here to listen. Sometimes we simply need someone who is in our corner and I hope to be that for you. I am queer-affirming and available to new clients, both in-person and virtually. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to get scheduled.

The evaluation process includes time spent in direct contact with individuals and/or caregivers via clinical interviews and caregiver interviews for children and adolescents, face-to-face testing, scoring and interpreting assessment data, reviewing records, completing collateral calls with providers or support persons (if/as appropriate and with a release of information), writing the evaluation report, and providing feedback. Hi there, I'm Briana and I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist in the state of Indiana. Wondering if we are the right fit? Ask yourself these questions. Do you feel spread too thin, like ice on the verge of breaking? Do you feel like you have to "do it all," which leaves you overwhelmed and stressed? Are your relationships, responsibilities, or feelings being put on the back burner? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? Sometimes, do you feel like you just want to run away? If you answered yes to any of these, we might be a good fit. I help many clients with these types of challenges. I approach my work with compassion and with an understanding that many people have underlying experiences with trauma and unmet childhood needs, which we will make space for processing in our sessions. Together, we will work to reduce your inner critic by seeking an understanding of all aspects of yourself, including the painful parts. We will work to discover why they exist and how you can regain control over your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, all while building on your current strengths and resilience. I empower young people and adults to develop the strengths and tools they already have within themselves to address the stressors of life. Together, we will look at the whole picture to identify what you can change, what you can let go of, and what you can move forward with. Seeking help can feel scary, but you are in the right place. This is a safe space to explore your needs and wants, so you can become the best version of yourself. Whether you are coming here with general overwhelm, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, mood swings, attention deficits, or relationship challenges, I'm here to help.
