Seeking a safe place to land when you have nothing left to give? Maybe you’re ambitious, capable, and accustomed to handling what needs to be handled, but lately, you may feel stuck, depleted, or unsure of what comes next. Hey, I’m Yvonne! I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, and life transitions, with a special focus on high-achieving women of color, including eldest daughters and those working through over-giving and people-pleasing patterns. Together, we can work through anxiety, OCD, difficult life transitions, and the discomfort that often comes with setting boundaries and finally choosing yourself. For clients experiencing OCD or intrusive thoughts, I incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help reduce the cycle of obsessions, compulsions, reassurance-seeking, and avoidance. For anxiety and life transitions, we’ll work on understanding patterns, strengthening boundaries, regulating emotions, and making changes that actually fit your life. You may be the person everybody depends on: the problem-solver, strong friend. Meanwhile, you’ve been doing the most for a long time. All gas, no brakes. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and includes humor and gentle accountability when appropriate.

Inner Archive Therapy
I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.

Hello! I’m a therapist in private practice, and I work best with students and young adults who feel like they’re carrying a lot on the inside while trying to keep up on the outside. Many of the clients who are a great fit for my practice are navigating anxiety, low mood, self-esteem struggles, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, the impact of past painful experiences, and major life transitions (starting college, changing majors, moving away from home, new relationships). If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like you “should be doing better” but can’t seem to turn it around, you’re not alone. Students often reach out when they’re: • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly “on edge.” • Stuck in overthinking, perfectionism, or procrastination • Feeling down, numb, unmotivated, or like it’s hard to care about things you used to enjoy • Burned out from juggling school, work, family, or big life changes • Struggling with confidence, self-worth, or a harsh inner critic • Having trouble with relationships, boundaries, or communication • Trying to heal after a painful experience, or coping with grief and loss In our sessions, we’ll slow things down and make sense of what you’re feeling, what’s been happening, and what you want to change. My approach is flexible based on your needs, but I often use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), which helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns, understand how they affect your feelings and choices, and practice new ways of coping that fit your life. We’ll set clear goals, build practical skills you can use between sessions, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe, especially if you’re working through trauma or loss. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. You don’t need to know what to say or have a “perfect” reason to start therapy. If you’re looking for a space that feels supportive and real, where you can be honest, get tools that help, and feel more like yourself, I’d be glad to connect. We can start with what’s most urgent and go at a pace that feels manageable.

“It’s always best to believe in one’s self, but a little help from others can be a great blessing!” I view each person as the main character in their book of life. Each book contains stories of joy, sadness, exploration, struggle, and most importantly, HOPE. My goal to assist in exploring these stories, whether you encounter depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, intersectional struggles, or self-esteem issues...I am especially sensitive to those impacted by LGBTQ issues, religious minorities, activists, uniformed public servants, and those experiencing depression. I utilize a multiculturally sensitive approach, borrowing from ACT, DBT, MBCT, mindfulness, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to develop a collaborative and eclectic style to treatment, tailored to your needs. Cultures all over the world have a common truth: life is suffering. Through therapy, I hope to create a safe and empowering environment to help you withstand and overcome that suffering. I welcome you to reach out to start this journey.

Many of the people I work with seem to have spent a fair amount of time wondering if they are somehow doing "being a person" incorrectly. The overthinkers. The deep feelers. The people who have always felt a little different. A little out of step. Or like everyone else received instructions they themselves somehow missed. Some are navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, or questions about who they are and how they want to move through the world. Many have spent a long time trying to make sense of things on their own. Therapy is not a place where you need to arrive polished, certain, or put together. It is a place where curiosity is welcome, questions are welcome, and most importantly, you are welcome. P.S. Consider this your official welcome to the Human Being Club. Your unpolished, un-edited pages are honored here.
