I am committed to working with individuals to assuage the burden of their issues through mutual commitment to their growth. This is sometimes accomplished individually, or, in some cases, as couples work. I further work with young men struggling to establish an identity in the absence of their biological fathers.

Life can feel overwhelming—especially when anxiety, depression, or hopelessness take over. Therapy offers a space to reclaim your sense of self, find clarity, and begin the journey toward healing. You are allowed to take up space! You are strong and resilient. You can live a life that is fulfilling, and you deserve to know that you have value. You deserve to have hope for the future and to feel empowered about who you are. You are the expert of your own life—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating complex trauma, including experiences rooted in childhood, family, and relationships. I also work with clients experiencing issues related to LGBTQIA+ (such as stress, acceptance or identity), self-esteem, attachment, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in Trauma Focused CBT and utilize approaches from Narrative Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing is possible. Together, we can unlearn harmful patterns, heal from past wounds, and build tools for resilience and self-acceptance.

Psychologist
Georgetown, TX

Hello! I’m Dr. Ryne Pulido. I’m a husband, father, and psychologist in Texas. I’m so excited to help folks build lives experienced as worth living and sharing. I started out as a therapist for children, adolescents, and young adults. Initially, “young adult” referred to college students. Then “young adult” expanded to include medical and law school students. And then it expanded to include early career professionals. Now, it has expanded to early career professionals struggling to #adult. Your struggle is real. Many of my clients struggle with intense emotional pain stemming from feelings of unlovability and fear of rejection. Their pain acts like an emotional dictator that commands them to withdraw from friends, family, work, school, hobbies, passions, interests, and other activities that make life worth living. Increasingly distant from their values (who they want to be deep inside their hearts) and goals (what they want to accomplish), they feel directionless and unsure of their best life because they’re so focused on protecting themselves from emotional pain. If this sounds like you, know it doesn’t have to be this way. You deserve a life worth living and sharing. Imagine what it would be like to control your actions (the things you do and say) amidst an emotional storm. What if you could be the person you want to be and move toward your goals just 20% more often? What would your relationships be like? Where would your career be? How much better would your sleep be?! Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I utilize a modern form of the tried-and-true Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Although ACT involves a radically new approach to happiness, over 1,000 clinical trials have been published in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating its effectiveness with diverse populations struggling with a wide range of psychological problems. ACT is focused on creating richer, fuller, and more meaningful lives rather than solely symptom reduction. When your life is bigger, the pain is smaller by comparison. ACT is a very active form of therapy. It’s not just talking about your problems and feelings (although there is always space for that). You will learn practical skills to move from struggling to flourishing. We will move through the program step-by-step, learning skills that build on each other. The good news is the skills are easy to learn and effective. You are headed into the unknown. Unfortunately, counseling and therapy is not 100% effective. Although I accept commercial insurance (if you go through Alma) and the Lotus Fund, the risk of committing time, money, effort, and heart to something that doesn’t work out is very real. I also can’t promise that you won’t feel uncomfortable, judged, and misunderstood, but you will have permission to express yourself and stop anything that is uncomfortable. I’ll listen with an open mind and you’re in the driver’s seat. But you are not alone. It’s your journey, but we’re a team—working together to help you become the person you want to be and build the life you want to live and share. All brains matter. I’ve spent my entire professional career working with neurodivergent folks and their families. I have a special place in my heart for ADHDers, autistics, and people with strong personalities. Are you in Texas, prefer virtual care, and ready to get to work? You can contact me by email (admin@rynepulidophd.com) or by calling or texting 512-537-4743. (Note it can take up to 72 hours for me to return a call, email, or text. If you are in a mental health emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest ER). …and if you’re sort of ready that’s cool too. Reach out to me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation! Need financial help? I offer sliding-scale fee slots via Open Path Collective. These slots are extremely limited, so please get in touch with me before signing up to work with me. I also accept the Lotus Fund via the Asian Mental Health Collective.

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself? Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or the feeling of never being “enough,” you don’t have to face it alone. If you’re navigating cultural expectations or life transitions, I’m here to support you. I’m Zarina (she/her/ella), a bilingual Latina therapist in Texas, offering culturally affirming therapy in both English and Spanish. I specialize in helping BIPOC, Latinx, Spanish-speaking, and LGBTQ+ clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, explore their identity, and navigate relationship challenges. My approach is relational-cultural, person-centered, and trauma-informed. In our work together, I’ll bring in humor, somatic practices, yoga, EMDR, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to strengthen the mind-body connection. I also focus on building self-compassion and boundary-setting so you can prioritize yourself and create the balance you need. I know it’s not always easy to ask for help, and it takes a lot of courage to even get to this point. My hope is to be someone who really listens, meets you where you are, and gives you the space and support you need to start your healing.

The number one complaint I hear from my clients about past experiences with therapy is how impersonal and detached their experience felt. They craved more warmth, and a vested interest from their therapist in their growth — an ideal mixture of sincerity, kindness, advocacy, and accountability. Tailor-made for women, my approach weaves together all of these elements, creating a container that provides powerful and life-changing results. A sense of feeling safe, seen, and understood takes precedence over “fixing things,” since I don’t buy into the belief that any of us are broken to begin with. So, if you’re struggling with things like high anxiety, low-self worth, or simply feeling lost, then you’ve come to the right place. Together, we will work to break past your limiting behaviors and create space for self-compassion, deep emotional healing, and enriching relationships.

Full Intentions is a therapy and movement practice that works at the intersection of mental health, identity, and the body. Most of the people who find us are carrying more than they talk about stress, anxiety, trauma, burnout, emotional numbness, impulsive patterns, or the pressure to keep it together for everyone else. We don’t rush your healing or ask you to “just think differently.” We help you slow down, understand what your nervous system is holding, and learn how to move with your emotions instead of against them. We work with trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship patterns, life transitions, self-worth, and nervous system dysregulation. Many of our clients are athletes and high performers who were taught to be strong before they were taught to be supported. No matter where you are starting from, you don’t have to do this alone. We’ll help you reconnect to yourself with intention, presence, and care. Reach out and we’ll match you with a clinician who best fits your needs.

Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself or others, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure how to navigate significant societal changes? Do you feel overwhelmed by the pressure to hold it all together, to keep showing up for others while putting your own needs on the back burner? Do you wonder if it’s possible to feel more grounded, connected, and alive? Right now, LGBTQIA2S+ folks and highly sensitive people are feeling exhausted and uncertain about how to move through life with authenticity and connection to our values, especially in a world that doesn’t always make space for who we are. With gentleness, compassion, and intention, I provide a space to reconnect with your most authentic self. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and intuitive. I offer somatic and relational therapy for individuals, couples, and families in Texas. Helping queer people and sensitive people reclaim their aliveness is my calling. Like most of my clients I have my own share of childhood trauma. I’ve had to deconstruct childhood messages of not being good enough. I’ve had to learn to set boundaries and learn that I’m not required to put others' needs above my own. I think learning that I'm loved and worthy, even when other's are angry with me has been the most difficult lesson of all. The very path that many of you are starting out on, I have walked myself. This journey isn't about reliving your worst memories, it's about taking away their power. I’ve worked hard to reclaim my own story, now I want to help you reclaim yours. I specialize in helping those with anxiety and trauma, both in individual and couples counseling. Using the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parts work, and EMDR approaches I help client's find ways to ease the sharp edges of relationships and life. I help find ways to navigate difficulties in life and move with ease and grace. I'm not a passive therapist and I actively work to help build skills you can use every day. I like to use humor, playful sarcasm, and just enough of “tell it like it is” to help you reach your personal summits. I will challenge you to stretch but not break your comfort zones. I will also sometimes be the kick in the pants you need.
