You're used to holding it all together, but inside it's starting to feel like too much. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to break. Maybe you're overthinking everything, feeling stress in your relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences. I’m a family trauma therapist and I’d love to help you heal from family chaos. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with those impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, and intergenerational trauma. I specialize in trauma, EMDR, and working with overachievers who are ready to move beyond coping and create meaningful and lasting change. My approach blends EMDR, parts work (IFS), and attachment-focused therapy to support deep, lasting healing. Rather than just talking through challenges, we’ll gently process past experiences, understand the parts of you that feel stuck or overwhelmed, and work toward a greater sense of safety and connection, both within yourself and in your relationships. If you grew up in a chaotic, unpredictable, or emotionally unsafe family, you may now find yourself struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a constant sense of pressure to be “okay.” Even when life is stable, your nervous system may not feel at ease. Reach out if you're ready to stop just surviving through the day and start thriving in life.
Most of the clients I work best with have one thing in common: they feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “have it all together,” especially around food, body image, and big life transitions. Many of them are students who look fine on the outside but are quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or feeling disconnected from their bodies. I often work with people who: Feel guilty or stressed about eating and don’t know how to break the cycle Overthink food choices or feel “out of control” around food Are adjusting to a big life change (moving away from home, starting college, pregnancy/postpartum, major stress) Carry a lot of self-criticism and feel exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s expectations Want a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or misunderstood My clients tend to be caring, hard-working, sensitive, and often the “strong one” in their friend group. They’re usually trying to balance school, relationships, and their own mental health—often without giving themselves the same compassion they give others. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, steady place where you can slow down, understand what’s going on underneath the stress, and feel more connected to yourself again.
Hello, My name is Heather Allen. The clients with whom I work best are those who are ready to begin working on themselves. I enjoy working with clients from varied backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. I have been to college and am aware of many of the issues that affect students who are attending. I look forward to working with you in determining your full potential.
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. College can be exciting—but also overwhelming. If you're feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure about your next steps, you're not alone. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I’ve spent 25 years working with students as a Dean and Provost. I understand the pressure to succeed, the identity questions, and the quiet burnout that can come with trying to do it all. I work best with students who are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to talk things through—even if they’re not sure where to start. Whether you're navigating a big transition, feeling anxious or lost, or just need a space to breathe and be real, I’m here to help. No judgment. No jargon. Just support that makes sense for where you are right now. Let’s talk—you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Hi, I’m Chioma Onuorah, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I provide a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can openly discuss what’s been weighing on you. I work with students experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, substance use, sleep difficulties, and other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative and personalized. I offer both medication management and psychotherapy, tailoring treatment to your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. Together, we’ll focus on helping you feel better, build healthy coping skills, and improve your overall well-being. I believe seeking help is a sign of strength, and I’m committed to making mental health care accessible, compassionate, and empowering. Therapy offers a space to slow down, connect, and be deeply heard and understood. Whether that is for you as an individual or in your relationship. Together, we can uncover patterns and explore meaningful, personalized coping tools to help you unwind and reconnect with yourself and/or your loved one. Maybe you’ve been turning the same thoughts over and over in your mind, searching for clarity, peace, solutions, or certainty—and not quite finding it. Therapy offers a space to talk through your concerns, ruminations, and vulnerable concerns at length, without judgment or interruption. My goal is to develop a deep, holistic understanding of how your experiences connect, so we can identify meaningful patterns and opportunities for growth, insight, and behavioral change. I help internalizers, people pleasers, and anxious individuals & couples—those whose minds are always racing or looping—find a place to let it out, ground themselves, and experience clarity and peace. I especially enjoy working with women, young adults, and those who dedicate themselves to making the world a better place, such as teachers, nurses, nonprofit professionals, and mothers, and I am open to working with any reflective individual or couple.

Hi There! I am a licensed Professional Counselor with over 4 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. My approach is compassionate, warm, and collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused. I specialize in working with Adolescents, young adults, and middle-aged adults; struggling with anxiety and depression, communication issues, and trauma survivors. Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or looking for support on your journey of personal growth, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore, heal, and grow. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we'll work to build new tools and create meaningful change. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through a safe and authentic connection. My role is to walk alongside you- offering tools, insights, and support- as you explore what's no longer serving you and move toward the life you want to create. Therapy with me is not about "fixing" you- because you are not broken. It's about uncovering your strengths, understanding your story with compassion, and creating space for growth, clarity, and lasting change. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that our first session is all about creating a comfortable, safe space for you to begin your journey. During our initial session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and any important background that can help me support you effectively. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right—we’ll move at your pace. We’ll also talk about how I work, answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and start to outline some goals or intentions for our work together. This session is more about building connection and clarity than diving into deep work right away. Above all, my goal is to make you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after some time away, this is your space—and I’m here to meet you exactly where you are.

Hi there! I’d love to speak to you about problems you’re facing. Issues may include anxiety and depression stemming from academic concerns, adjustment to college life, relationship struggles, career and financial stress, all of which are common struggles to have during these formative years. I work well with people who have underlying traits of perfectionism, fear of failure and rejection, and people who struggle with shame-based thinking. Uniquely I have experience working with individuals who have cultural adjustment issues, eating disorders, and people who have moderate to severe mental illnesses. If you find me to be a good fit, I’d love to consult further on how I can help! And thank you for taking your time to read this.

Together, we navigate the complexities of the mind, empowering you to cultivate inner strength and resilience on your path towards healing.
Charlie Health is a virtual behavioral health program for adolescents and young adults with moderate or severe mental health concerns or co-occurring substance use or eating disorders. Designed to meet the needs of those who require more than weekly therapy, our program combines curated group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy into personalized treatment programs. We are helping to serve those who are in crisis, or have been historically underserved, by eliminating the most significant treatment barriers: geographical and financial access. We work with nearly all commercial insurance nationwide and have no waitlist, thereby helping people access quality, evidence-based care regardless of insurance, location, or other barriers.

I am a ‘Recovering Perfectionist’ that has struggled with anxiety for much of my life. I know how it feels to get stuck in my own head wondering what others think, trying to do everything ‘right’ (whatever that really means), and putting others before myself. I know what it feels like to want to give up and just avoid everything all together. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist, but also someone who truly understands what you are going through and what it means to find the right balance between challenging yourself and validating your progress to keep you going so you can reach your goals.
