Whether it's anxiety about the future, pressures from relationships, or hurt from past trauma, we all can feel lost at times. Maybe you know exactly what you want to work on, OR you are uncertain and don't know where to start, I'm here to help! My work is to learn about you, and work alongside you to create a safe place for you to process life events, unlearn unhelpful thoughts or behaviors, build coping skills, find direction, and work towards inner peace. Finding the right therapist can be a tricky and vulnerable experience. My work is rooted in values of authenticity and humility, as I find it an honor to walk alongside folks as they explore their inner self and seek to understand important relationships and connections in their life. Alot of my work is with college students and those who are new to therapy or who seek someone who they can connect with. Do you struggle with relationship issues, substance misuse, or navigating college and life transitions? Do you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward? You need a compassionate space to express your feelings, understand the roots of your behaviors, and heal emotional wounds. Your goals may include improving self-esteem, building confidence, and overcoming the challenges that you face. Ultimately, you want to feel heard, empowered, and more in control of your life, fostering healthier relationships and emotional balance.
The clients I see are sometimes in college experiencing feelings of overwhelm or feeling low. These clients describe their challenges as feeling, “como con miedo,” and also, “no se que tengo.” Other clients I see are future counselors who are at the beginning of their careers and facing imposter syndrome ( “I must’ve slipped through the cracks to get to where I am now”), self-criticism (“Why can’t I get my life together!"), or burnout (feeling fatigued and like you can never catch up). These clients are usually part of activist movements or workplaces and I believe in helping the healers that are out in the world making a positive impact on society. I benefited greatly from my own experiences with counseling when I was in grad school (still do) and I hope to provide the same non-judgmental opportunities to cry or laugh or both to future clients. In my work I value humility, curiosity, self-compassion and humor. I believe these are needed to provide authenticity and support at a time when people starting out in their fields of work are taking in new information that is stretching/challenging perspectives and care for the self is a necessity to continue doing challenging work.
Hey there! If you're a college student dealing with anxiety, depression, or any other struggles, know that you're not alone. As a therapist with 20 years of experience, 15 of which have been spent working directly with clients like you, I've seen a lot of what you're going through. College can be a tough time, filled with transitions, family conflicts, and the weight of expectations. But guess what? It's okay to not be okay sometimes. It's normal to feel overwhelmed by job anxiety, financial stress, or the pressure to keep up appearances on social media. That's where therapy comes in. By talking things out with someone who understands and supports you, you can start to feel better. Together, we can work on building your confidence, improving your relationships, and finding healthier ways to cope with whatever life throws your way. So if you're ready to take your life and your goals to the next level, why not give therapy a shot? It could be the best decision you make for yourself. And remember, reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. I'm here for you whenever you're ready to talk. Take care, Kathryn
This space is yours—a place where we can talk openly, without judgment, and work together to understand what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. In our first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to learn about your background and goals, and you can ask me anything about how I work or what to expect from therapy. There's no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your process, and we’ll go at your pace. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported.
Life often asks women to hold so much—caring for others, navigating relationships, balancing responsibilities, and carrying silent struggles that can feel overwhelming. If you’ve been moving through an eating disorder, body image concerns, grief, trauma, fertility challenges, or simply the load of expectations, you deserve a place that feels safe, affirming, and collaborative. In our work together, you’ll find space to be fully seen and supported, with compassion guiding every step as you reconnect with your strength, your voice, and your true self. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where honesty, care, and curiosity guide our work. Rather than quick fixes, I help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with parts of yourself that feel lost. Together, we’ll build safety and trust while using evidence-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting healing. Here, every part of you is welcome—your questions, your grief, your dreams, and your story. This is a place to release what you’ve been carrying, to feel deeply supported, and to rediscover your resilience. I'll honor your process, creating space for healing, growth, and a return to you, but an updated you that feels in alignment with where you see yourself.
