No matter what you bring to this space… You are valid, your feelings are valid, and you are welcome here. Whether you’re struggling with feeling overwhelmed and anxious, or whether you’re needing a space to explore your inner world, I recognize that taking the step toward change is a brave one—and I’m so glad you’re here. I specialize in therapy for childfree individuals, highly sensitive people, LGBTQ+ folx and their families, women recovering from narcissistic abuse, people who are no or low contact with family, and equestrians. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. In my work, I operate from the perspective that we are all doing the best that we can, and that we all want to live our lives with contentment and joy—but that the path in getting there is often difficult and full of unexpected surprises.
Hi, I’m Janet. You may be overwhelmed, shutdown, struggling with deep moral distress and existential dread, or stuck in AuDHD burnout, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in supporting people deeply connected to non-human animals and nature and those experiencing AuDHD burnout. Other areas of expertise are chronic illness, medical trauma, and sociopolitical moral distress. I am compassionate, warm, collaborative, and prioritize building a safe trusting relationship with you. I explicitly recognize structural injustices in my work and practice anti-oppressively. We can support your nervous system, clarify what is important to you, and help you move - at your pace - toward what matters most to you.

Does your mind constantly run? Cannot turn it off? Do you worry yourself to sleep or that you are “going crazy”? Anxiety, worry, and over-thinking are common in today’s fast-paced world, but help is available. Counselors give advice. Unsure about what to do? They’ll tell you. This is comforting, but this is not therapy. In sessions, we explore your mind, how it ticks, and how to focus your time and energy on things that matter to most to you. Unlike other theories which focus on labeling thoughts and feelings as “good” or “bad” and attempting to change them, Mindfulness seeks at relating to them differently.
I am a licensed psychologist who works with young adults who are seeking help with emotional, social, and behavioral problems. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to creating change. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment to help you navigate the challenges you're facing. I use CBT and other evidence-based treatments, tailored to each individual, to help meet their needs and achieve their goals. I also conduct neuropsychological assessments for various concerns including ADHD, learning disabilities, memory problems etc. My background in school psychology has trained me to collaborate and consult with other professionals, including school counselors, teachers, doctors, and other specialists to work as a team to improve outcomes for my clients. I also have training in treating teens and college students with depression, anxiety, and self-harm. Beginning therapy can be an anxiety-inducing and scary process. My goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment where we can work together to help you cope with whatever challenges and stressors you're facing. Please contact me by email or phone to see if we would be a good fit.

I am an LGBTQ-competent therapist working with adolescents (16+), college students, and young adults who experience stress and worry, feel down or hopeless, who struggle to focus in school or employment, and/or who are exploring their gender and sexual identities. I empower my patients to identify their own goals and intentions in therapy that support their values. Some examples include: improving ability to cope with anxiety; learning to set and communicate boundaries; managing difficult emotions; and creating structure and habits that optimize success in school or employment. I use evidenced-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. I will invite your feedback on which interventions you find most helpful and adapt sessions accordingly. Engaging in therapy, especially as a young person, takes great bravery and vulnerability. I hope to provide a welcoming and calming environment to support you through meeting your goals. I see patients virtually and in person.

I most often work with autistic adults (late-diagnosed or self-identified) and people impacted by chronic stress or trauma, using EMDR, IFS, and other neurodiversity-affirming approaches. I offer a range of therapeutic modalities to suit your specific needs. The students I work best with often feel overwhelmed by their emotions and struggle with patterns that seem difficult to change. You may find yourself experiencing intense emotions, relationship challenges, impulsive behaviors, self-criticism, or feeling stuck in cycles that leave you frustrated and exhausted. Many of my clients have spent years trying to cope on their own but continue to feel overwhelmed by stress, conflict, anxiety, depression, or emotional ups and downs. They often want to better understand themselves, build healthier relationships, and develop practical skills for handling difficult emotions without making things worse. In our work together, we'll focus on learning effective strategies to manage intense feelings, tolerate distress, and recognize unhelpful behavior patterns. My goal is to help you gain greater control over your emotions, make choices that align with your values, and create lasting changes that improve your overall well-being. If you're ready to better understand yourself and build skills for navigating life's challenges, we may be a good fit.

I will collaborate with you, in a respectful, nonjudgemental, and supportive manner. By increasing self-awareness, you will be better able to understand the barriers keeping you from happiness, and our work together will help you to develop your strengths, coping skills, and confidence.
