I specialize in working with clients from the ages of 14 to adulthood, who are inquisitive, self-aware, and deeply motivated to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, move into a place of self-respect/love, and develop adaptive ways of coping, communicating, and problem-solving. I have worked for many years with children, teens, adults, and families dealing with trauma and change and searching for authenticity, often in a world that values the superficial. Therapy is a process of seeking meaning, managing change, letting go of what no longer makes sense for who we are and what we want, healing, and growing. I am most suited to help clients dealing with loss, prior childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity (in all its manifestations), divorce, self-esteem, grief, and emotional regulation. The goals are different for everyone, yet I believe that we all want to feel more balanced, more joyful, and more healthfully connected with others. As a psychologist with 25 years of post-doctoral experience, I’ve been exposed to various modalities, settings, and clients dealing with differing issues, life changes, and developmental expectations. I’ve also found that my professional practice has evolved as I’ve matured, raised children, and survived losses and challenges. We are in this together.
At CenteredMind Online, I specialize in working with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained, and are ready to feel more balanced and in control of their lives. Many of the clients I work with are juggling academic pressures, relationships, and personal expectations, often while hiding how stressed or stuck they feel. On the outside, they may seem high-functioning, but internally they’re quietly struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or sleep issues. If you’ve been finding it harder to focus, stay motivated, or feel rested, no matter how hard you try, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. That’s where I come in. I provide a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood, and your mental health is finally a priority. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or simply feeling unmotivated or disconnected, we’ll work together to find a clear path forward. My approach is compassionate, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, and more like yourself again. I offer both medication management and supportive therapy, tailored to your individual needs. Together, we’ll look at what’s getting in your way and build a plan to help you move forward with solutions to help you feel more balanced and centered. CenteredMind Online is a fully virtual psychiatric practice, so you can meet with me from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to make care more accessible. No commuting. No waiting rooms. Just real support when you need it most. My name is Danielle Donovan and I'm so excited to begin this therapeutic journey with you! I currently work full-time as a School Counselor and I have eight years of experience working in the mental and behavioral health fields. I went to The Catholic University of America, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology, and Holy Family University, where I obtained my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a School Counseling concentration. Recently, I proudly accomplished obtaining my License as a Professional Counselor. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to empower individuals with whom I work to better understand their thinking patterns and to believe in their ability to overcome hardships and experiences relating to anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, life changes, ODD, ADHD, and Autism. Additionally, I enjoy implementing play therapy for children and adolescents to feel they can be honest and receptive in an approachable, engaging way.

I am a clinical psychologist practicing in-person in Philadelphia PA and via Telehealth in Boston, MA. I work with adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, coping with medical illness, immigration stressors, self-esteem issues, and questions of identity. I believe I work particularly well with people who want to feel closer to themselves and others. In my practice, I focus on building a strong relationship based on trust, acceptance, and authenticity. I create a collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental space. As you put words to your thoughts and feelings and examine current and past experiences, we’ll gain insight into your unique ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Recognizing emotions and patterns that have roots in the past can free you up to live a more full and meaningful life in the present. My therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic, and I also integrate other techniques that can help with more immediate symptom relief, such as acceptance-and-commitment therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Whether you want to address specific symptoms, cope with difficult realities in your life, or deepen your self-understanding, seeking therapy is an important decision. I understand that finding a therapist can feel daunting, and it's important to find someone who feels like a good match. If you're thinking about starting therapy, please feel free to reach out to me for an initial consultation. I would be happy to have a conversation with you about what you’re looking for and how I can help.
I am an LCSW with a private practice offering outpatient psychotherapy in Pa. Furnace, PA. I primarily offer teletherapy sessions but occasionally meet with clients face to face, mostly in outdoor settings. I have been practicing since 2011 and accept students, community members, and others within the state of PA. I specialize in individual therapy, though I also have experience with couples. I usually use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness framework, though many other therapeutic approaches are used as well depending on the needs of the client. As a social worker, I also offer a fair amount of casework for clients who need access to academic, employment, housing, medical, legal, and other kinds of community resources. Over the years I have found that I develop an excellent working relationship with a wide variety of clients, but particularly so with clients presenting with concerns centered on their existential and spiritual concerns as well as on their relationship with the natural world.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavioral Specialist in PA. After graduating in 2004 from Rosemont College, I began my work in Counseling and Behavioral Therapy. I worked for the top companies servicing clients before I decided to go out on my own. I have my private practice, Canopy Counseling Unlimited in Media, PA. I have extensive work with children, adolescents, individuals, families, blended families, and divorced parents. My counseling strength is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you feel, think, and act. The therapy aims to find practical ways to help you deal with problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. With over 19 years of experience, I have worked with individuals diagnosed with Anxiety(Certified,) Autism (Certified) (both child and adult- with a license in this area), ADHD-(certified,) Bipolar, Depression, Stress Management, Trauma(Certified,) and too many others to list. My license in counseling helps focus on feelings and beliefs while my license in behavioral therapy helps focus on behaviors and environments that impede growth. I use both in my approach. My background in mental health has given me experience in knowing that each person's needs are special and unique and that there are no "cookie-cutter" answers to solve problems. (If that was the case there would be one book and I'd be out of a job.) I believe that therapy should be just as important as seeing your doctor or dentist regularly. With the stress of today, everyone is experiencing some parts of their life that are not what they want them to be. We will find strategies that will help you, I will teach you coping skills that will fit you, and help you process the areas in your life you want to change. You will apply these strategies and be able to see a positive change in your life. I want you to be comfortable coming to see me and feel supported. I come up with lots of ideas to help you on your journey. We will work together to understand the "whys" and build better strategies to improve the areas in your life you want to change. We will look at ways to improve communication with others and develop good self-esteem. I believe that everyone can succeed when they feel supported and not judged. I will meet you where you are and work with you on finding balance. My approach is to help individuals and families bring back and restore the balance that was once there and watch the growth that takes place! The language that I speak is English. Outside of behavioral health care and in my free time, I enjoy building things, remodeling, mission work, snow skiing, travel, spending time at the beach, and of course, time with my family.
College is this interesting time of transition where you are given an opportunity to explore independence away from your parents, hometown, and all that feels comfortable. But for many, this independence and freedom can be lonely, confusing and downright uncomfortable. You may feel like you are not cut out to succeed in such a high pressure environment. Decisions can seem overwhelming. Am I in the right major? What internship should I choose? Should I study abroad? Do I need to take a semester off? How do I manage my money? The pressure to perform academically can be intense and feel overwhelming. Picking a major, choosing classes, second guessing your decisions, and simply managing time and assignments can feel insurmountable. If you previously struggled with time management or organization, you may find your safety net is now far away and now your grades are suffering. I have worked with many students just like you. I work to treat a range on issues that get in the way of optimal academic performance - from depression to anxiety to ADHD. I further specialize in working with students who are also parents. Parenting young children while working towards your degree is no small feat. Pregnancy and/or postpartum during graduate school is challenging but together we can get through it. Hello! Throughout my ten years in the mental health field, I have worked in settings that range from inpatient to outpatient, as well as school and mobile. My clients represent all stages across the lifespan. My passion is helping clients to address a variety of needs, many of which stem from prior traumatic or dysfunctional patterns, as well as to help them find a more fulfilling balance. I often see clients suffer from imposter and/or Wonder Woman syndrome, frequently manifesting as suicidal ideation, depression, and/or anxiety. I use an integrated approach rooted in feminist theory, and that focuses on how trauma currently shows up in our lives. I find this is crucial to break the cycle. I believe that clients of all genders are harmed by societal norms, roles, and stigmas; we all can benefit from working to break down those barriers for the sake of healthy emotional expression. There is nothing better in my line of work than watching clients heal and grow to become thrivers - their own champions. Please reach out to discuss a potential relationship!

Starting or returning to college can bring up unique challenges—navigating relationships, managing stress, adjusting to new independence, or figuring out who you are and what you want. I work best with students who are thoughtful, curious, and open to exploring their inner world, even if that feels a little intimidating at first. Many of my clients are balancing academics with the ups and downs of friendships, family, dating, and questions about their identity. My practice is LGBTQ-affirming and welcoming to students of all backgrounds. I provide a calm and supportive space where you can slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and begin to feel more grounded. Whether you’re seeking clarity in relationships, support with stress or anxiety, or a place to process deeper emotions, therapy can be a meaningful step toward feeling more connected and at ease with yourself. I look forward to supporting you!

I view therapy as a deeply collaborative and relational process. Together, we will work to develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, patterns, and emotions—helping you build insight, create meaningful change, and foster personal growth. By gaining greater self-awareness, you can begin to navigate internal and relational challenges, explore the connections between your past and present, and move toward a more intentional and fulfilling future. My approach integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic and relational therapy. I am also extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I use to support individuals in developing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I strive to provide person-centered care within a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment. Our work together will center on understanding your experiences more fully and finding ways to respond to them with greater clarity and intention.

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you!
