Therapists for college students near Pittsburgh, PA
I believe that having an objective person listen to your story opens the door for validation, reflection, and change. I believe my job as a counselor is to listen, notice patterns, and help you reach the goals you set for yourself. I use an eclectic blend of modalities to center the people I work with in their own narratives, and help them move forward in ways that benefit them the most. I also have a lot of experience working with athletes, as I was a coach for 10 years before becoming a counselor. Please visit my website to see more about my coaching experience and work with athletes on performance and wellness. I enjoy being a generalized clinician, as I focus a lot on validation, control, and purpose in my practice. I find this can help each person, no matter what they are facing, to find a more positive path forward.

Our practice works primarily with young adults who find themselves struggling in relationships, dealing with anxiety, stress, and general life transitions. Our therapists are all licensed- some offer in person sessions in our Bryn Mawr office and all offer telehealth sessions. We are in network with most insurance companies (Aetna, Highmark, Independence Blue Cross, and Optum/United Health Care).
While I feel that anyone could use the extra help and insight therapy provides, my specialities include issues related to college, job/career, and women’s issues. You deserve the opportunity to be heard and held as you face challenges. Through compassion and humor, I will work with you to cultivate the unique and special relationship between therapist and client that will help guide you. I offer an eclectic approach, borrowing from mindfulness, relational, CBT, attachment-focused, and other modalities. My approach is based on the individual needs of the client, rather than a one-size-fits-all. I come from a place of cultural humility, respecting gender, sexuality, social and racial justice. I understand how each individual is more than the sum of their parts; rather than pathologizing, I support each client as they identify and then build upon their strengths.

Hi there, I've been working with individuals with different stress in life as a counselor since I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. I have been seeing students who are struggling with academic stress, graduation anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, acculturation, identity issues, and some mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, etc.
At CenteredMind Online, I specialize in working with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained, and are ready to feel more balanced and in control of their lives. Many of the clients I work with are juggling academic pressures, relationships, and personal expectations, often while hiding how stressed or stuck they feel. On the outside, they may seem high-functioning, but internally they’re quietly struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or sleep issues. If you’ve been finding it harder to focus, stay motivated, or feel rested, no matter how hard you try, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. That’s where I come in. I provide a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood, and your mental health is finally a priority. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or simply feeling unmotivated or disconnected, we’ll work together to find a clear path forward. My approach is compassionate, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, and more like yourself again. I offer both medication management and supportive therapy, tailored to your individual needs. Together, we’ll look at what’s getting in your way and build a plan to help you move forward with solutions to help you feel more balanced and centered. CenteredMind Online is a fully virtual psychiatric practice, so you can meet with me from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to make care more accessible. No commuting. No waiting rooms. Just real support when you need it most. I know firsthand how powerful and healing therapy can be, as well as how frustrating and painful it sometimes is. I believe therapy is a co-created relationship that enables us to reckon with ourselves, therefore making possible the change we want to see in our lives. My style is human — I’m not a neutral observer or blank slate, I am an engaged, deeply caring person. I share what I think honestly and with humility. My therapeutic approach is integrative. I work primarily from a psychodynamic lens, and am internal family systems-informed. Clients have described me as caring, calm, and “bad at having a poker face.” To that end, I share what I think honestly and with humility. In my practice, I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, relationship issues, and want to work through life transitions, and boundary setting. I help my clients develop tools, communicate more effectively, clarify their needs, unlearn old unhelpful beliefs about themselves, and get unstuck from painful patterns. Together we will look at your past to understand what you’re still hanging onto that you’d like to let go of. I can help you understand links between the past and present, while also helping you develop skills for coping and emotional regulation as you engage in therapy.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in your thoughts, or navigating a big transition, you’re not alone. College can bring a lot of uncertainty, pressure, and change—and having support can make a real difference. I work with students who are figuring things out, managing stress, and wanting to feel more grounded and confident in themselves. In our work together, we’ll create a supportive space to explore what’s going on and find tools that help you feel more clear, balanced, and connected.
College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be navigating uncertainty about your future, dealing with stress and anxiety, or searching for clarity about who you are and what you want. These struggles might leave you feeling stuck, drained, or unsure about how to move forward. I specialize in supporting college students who want to feel more in control of their emotions, more confident in their decisions, and more at peace with themselves. I also have advanced training in women’s mental health, including PMDD and related issues, and I offer a space that is affirming and accepting of all identities. I provide empathetic, understanding, and supportive care designed to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s contributing to your stress and anxiety, and work toward greater emotional balance, empowerment, and clarity. Whether it’s developing healthier coping skills, exploring life decisions, or learning to regulate your emotions, we’ll take steps that feel meaningful and achievable to you. What You’ll Gain from Therapy: - Feeling more empowered and in control of your life - Greater confidence in yourself and your choices - Emotional regulation and tools to handle life’s ups and downs If you’re ready to take steps toward feeling calmer, more confident, and more in tune with yourself, let’s connect. Therapy can be a safe space to navigate these challenges and move forward at your own pace.
