Queer enough? Babe, you're overqualified. If you're questioning it, you probably already know the answer. Queerness isn't a checklist or a vibe check. You don't need a membership card, you are already in. Out of the entire LGBTQIA+ community, folks like bi, pan, genderfluid, and nonbinary people are often seen as "less queer" - yet we face the highest rates of gender/sex based anxiety and depression. The double-closet effect - feeling invisible to both straight and queer spaces - makes it harder to feel seen, heard, and valid. No matter the mental health symptom, for queer people, healing starts with feeling validated and affirmed. I help queer folks who struggle to feel like they belong (including in LGBTQIA+ spaces) embrace their identity, trust their "enoughness," find calm through adversity, and conquer life stress, relationship trauma, and anxiety. I'm here for your fluidity, your bisexuality (no matter the gender of your partner), your polyamory, your transness. Welcome home. Healing starts with being in a space where you don't have to explain or prove yourself. We don't have to focus exclusively on queerness in your sessions, but you will never have to wonder if it's accepted and understood. Whether stress, relationship trauma, or anxiety, we'll focus on what matters to you. When you're ready, I'm here.
Grit & Grace is more than just a name but a way of life. These words are obviously opposites but can also be interconnected and complementary to each other. In order for therapy to be successful, we need the strength to recognize what is no longer serving us, the balance of being aware of our emotions enough to manage them in a way that is gentle, honest, and wise, and we need to honor our past and present in order to move into the future with grace.

I provide experienced, thoughtful care to young adults and college students navigating a wide range of challenges. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply seeking clarity and direction, therapy can help you better understand yourself, shift unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change. My approach is holistic, warm, and relational. I work collaboratively with each client to uncover the underlying forces shaping their current concerns, helping them identify choice points and reconnect with their strengths. While I work with a wide range of presenting issues, I have a special focus on treating trauma in its many forms. I am especially committed to providing safe, affirming, and effective care for survivors of sexual abuse and assault, and for those carrying the long shadows of past experiences. Regardless of the content, I approach every session with cultural humility, clinical attunement, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Therapy is your time—for insight, healing, growth, or simply space to breathe and think. A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of this work, and I invest fully in building that alliance with every client I meet. As a therapist, I strive to provide my patients with a balance of validation and challenge. When we feel stuck, it can seem impossible to take action and make change. Together, we can explore your strengths and how those can guide you through your fears and anxieties. I utilize a strength-based, trauma-focused approach that is designed to treat you as an individual, with all the unique experiences and perspectives you bring to the therapy setting.

Art Therapy is for everyone! I am comfortable working with individuals from diverse cultures, beliefs and existences, and feel that being accepting, objective, respectful, and genuine are characteristics essential in a therapist; I strive to bring an inclusive and multicultural spirit to my work. Art Therapy provides an excellent catalyst for the expression of thoughts and feelings, and helps to find hidden meanings in your life; as your therapist I am here to assist with making sense of images and finding ways to manage feelings and issues. My inclination is to invite a spirit of fierce self-acceptance and self-compassion; to help change the negative, anxious, narrative to one of gentleness, forgiving, and yes, even loving.

My work with people focuses on meeting you where you are. First time in therapy? No problem, let's take it slow and figure out what you want to get out of this experience. A seasoned therapy pro? Let's talk about your past therapy experiences and go from there. Where ever you land on the therapy experience spectrum, you are welcome here and I look forward to working with you! The over arching goal of my work with clients is for you to align and connect with who you are and how you want to live. Sometimes that is really easy to identify, but it can also be tremendously overwhelming. Come as you are and leave who you want to be!

Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania with a background in outpatient mental health and community-based work. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of psychology, then went on to obtain a Master’s degree of social work and appropriate licensure. I work primarily with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck or burned out- especially those who are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from constantly holding it together. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and build practical tools that actually fit your life. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, while still honoring your lived experience. Therapy with me is both compassionate and goal oriented, but I am not afraid to challenge you. We process the hard things, but we also work toward meaningful change. If you’re ready to feel more steady, confident, and in control of your life, I’d be honored to support you.
I work really well with "type A" people with anxiety - those who are pragmatic and practical and used to getting stuff done, but now are finding it harder to make decisions and get as much done as they used to. I also work well with people who are accused of being "robotic" or "without feelings." Couples have claimed to actually enjoy working with me for premarital counseling, or figuring out how to deal with their parents/siblings/friends who might not be in favor of their match. In my office I try to speak plainly and say what needs to be said - you won't feel like you need to watch your language or censor yourself in any way.
