I'm Carly Stanton, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) offering virtual therapy for adults in Florida and Pennsylvania who've spent too long trying to fit into spaces that were never built for them. I work with outsiders, misfits, and people rebuilding — LGBTQ+ folks navigating identity and belonging, Jewish adults sorting through what their heritage actually means to them, highly sensitive people who are done apologizing for how they're wired, and anyone who's spent years being everything for everyone else and lost themselves in the process. My approach is relational, insight-oriented, and grounded in ACT and attachment-based work. I'm not here to hand you coping tips. I'm here to help you figure out who you actually are underneath all the performing. Virtual only. Free 15-minute consultation.

Hi! My name is Shira Collings (she/they). I specialize in working with clients with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image distress, and those wanting to break free from diet culture. As a diet culture dropout myself, I am passionate about supporting others in finding freedom with food and body acceptance. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folks, as well as those with substance use and trauma histories. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the Health At Every Size paradigm and body liberation. It is also informed by feminism, disability justice, and queer and trans liberation. I believe that healing comes from feeling heard, seen, and valued, and I strive to create a space in which clients can express their full, authentic selves. I have training in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I also have a background working in disability and mental health advocacy and regularly incorporate advocacy into the counseling process. Additionally, I have training in trauma therapies including Narrative Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I’d be honored to be a part of your journey! Please feel free to visit our website to see if I might be a good fit.

College is an exciting time, but it can also bring its fair share of stress, uncertainty, and challenges. You might feel anxious about the future, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or unsure of how to navigate the changes happening in your life. These feelings are completely valid, and you don’t have to face them alone. I specialize in somatic approaches to therapy, which help bridge the connection between your mind and body. This work supports you in building a sense of psychological safety from within, leading to greater confidence, emotional regulation, happiness, and self-assurance. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. In therapy with me, we’ll take the time to explore your unique needs. I’ll bring empathy, patience, and affirmation into our work, and we’ll collaborate on equipping you with tools to achieve your goals. Whether you’re navigating emotional ups and downs, seeking clarity about your future, or simply needing a space to process everything, I’m here to walk with you on this journey. If you’re new to therapy, I understand it can feel like a big step. I’m happy to answer your questions and help you feel comfortable with the process. Need support through life’s challenges? I will help you work through a range of issues, whether that’s depression, anxiety, or any other life transition issue. In each step of your journey, I will encourage self-empowerment and positive growth. I will also work with you to identify the areas of your life that may no longer serve you. I use an integrated psychotherapy method grounded in existential, phenomenological, interpersonal, and gestalt approaches. What this means is that I will tailor your treatment to incorporate your worldview, values, and creativity, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to ensure that we manage acute suffering along the way. If you’ve ever felt different or marginalized, I am committed to providing you a space that is welcoming and inclusive. I am accepting new clients and can work with you either in-person or virtually. I look forward to hearing from you!

I have been practicing psychotherapy for 20 years. It is my privilege to be able to sit in a room and support my clients in their healing and path to better self-awareness. I believe that when therapy is done well it is a partnership between client and therapist. My clients would describe me as a warm, supportive, compassionate, validating, and informed therapist. Many of my clients are struggling with constant worry and feelings of sadness. Some are struggling with life challenges such as; adjusting to college, choosing a major, conflicts with roommates or friends, relationship issues and grief & loss. Some of my clients are struggling with drug or alcohol issues.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, constant stress, depression, anger, or difficulty sleeping. I provide therapy to those who are ready to feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and daily life. Therapy offers a space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you understand the patterns contributing to stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and insomnia. Together, we work to build effective strategies so you can feel calmer, think more clearly, improve your mood, and regain a sense of balance. Clients often appreciate having a therapist who is fully present, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in their growth. Many begin to notice positive changes as they engage in therapy and apply the skills we develop together. Whether you are dealing with ongoing anxiety, burnout, low mood, irritability, or insomnia, you do not have to continue managing it alone.
You might be here because something feels off—like life has gotten heavier, more uncertain, or harder to manage than it used to be. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, unmotivated, stuck in your own head, or caught in patterns you can’t quite break. You might be adjusting to a big change—starting school, ending a relationship, shifting careers—or navigating the quiet, invisible grief of things not turning out the way you hoped. Whether the challenges are loud or subtle, what matters is that they’ve brought you here. You’re looking for a therapist who listens without judgment, who radiates warmth, and who offers practical tools to help.

Hi. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 25 years of experience. I specialize in supporting college students during times of change, challenges, losses, or mental health symptoms. I strive to help students better understand and navigate their experiences and make meaningful changes. I support self-compassion, perspective taking, discovery, and skill development. I’m flexible in my approach, and believe in personalizing scientifically proven methods to best fit your needs. I also can help you clarify, or confirm a diagnosis (i.e., label), of your mental health experiences. As an Interpersonal Therapist (IPT), my approach is a great fit for college students, who often face major transitions and challenges during school and emerging adulthood. For some students, we also focus on building healthy daily routines. Life changes can throw off routines, especially things like sleep schedules, which can worsen mental health symptoms. I help students create routines that support their well-being.
