My clients are often women (but not always) seeking clarity and support around their current life situations, changes, and challenges - Maybe it's trying to work on their self-esteem, while balancing work and/or their studies and social and interpersonal relationships. Maybe it's processing loss/grief/change - including an influential person, a job, a move to a new city, a role in life (parenting). We can identify and practice shame resilience skills. We go through change all the time, and you don't have to be alone with it. My approach is described as active and supportive. I work with clients to address current issues and long-standing challenges. Applying sensitivity, empathy, and compassion, I help individuals bring resolution to a wide range of life challenges and clinical psychological issues. I have also worked in the addictions arena for 17+ years and have experience in alcohol and other substance addiction work. As well as some experience in working with compulsive behaviors such as gambling, shopping, and internet usage.
My approach is warm and collaborative, creating a space where you feel truly seen and supported. I specialize in working with women who are navigating anxiety, relational challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma. Many of my clients struggle with high self-expectations, overthinking, and a constant sense of not doing or being enough. Together, we explore the roots of these patterns and create space for self-trust, balance, and lasting change. Using a combination of EMDR, somatic, and other evidence-based approaches, I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. This personalized approach allows us to work through your challenges at your own pace. Whether we’re using EMDR or another approach, I stay attuned to what feels most supportive. I trust your innate capacity to heal and see my role as a guide in helping you reconnect with your resilience and sense of self. My goal is lasting, embodied change—so you can feel more grounded, empowered, and at home in your life.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds, including neurodiverse youth. Across these populations, I have seen common experiences of challenge, resilience, and growth. As a college graduate who changed majors and faced setbacks along the way, I understand the need to regroup, persist, and try again—an experience strengthened by the support of a strong social network. I invite you to connect, and I would be honored to walk alongside you, offering professional support as you navigate your own path forward.
My goal will ultimately be to help you change your patterns, address relationship issues and/or anxieties, and find your inner wisdom. Therapy offers the opportunity to make lasting positive changes in life and in relationships. By exploring the role the past has played in current difficulties and dissolving old, destructive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, life can be more balanced and joyful. As a licensed therapist, Christopher offers warmth, compassion, support, and insight to this process, with an approach that is direct, non-judgmental, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Utilizing cognitive-behavioral, emotionally-focused and schema-based therapeutic strategies, Christopher works primarily with individual adults and couples, specializing in depression, anxiety, communication impasses, life transitions, drug and alcohol, loss, abuse, and trauma. Therapeutic change is facilitated by working towards collaboratively building upon inherent strengths and gaining insight into childhood origins of insecure attachment patterns while recognizing how these habitual patterns might be related to current problems. Utilizing the art of non-judgmental awareness – mindfulness – Christopher explores these themes with his clients, by helping them holistically connect with the memories, emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations fundamentally associated with the destructive, repetitive cycles individuals often struggle with. In this way, individuals are empowered to challenge these negative cycles and inevitably bring a greater sense of control, clarity, and balance back into their lives, while awakening inherent wisdom to more adaptively cope with life’s many challenges. Christopher obtained his Masters's degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and currently works as a mental health therapist in private settings and at the hospital psychiatric ICU. Christopher enjoys working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds and lifestyle orientations.
Hello, and welcome! I am glad you’re here. My name is Madz (she/they). I am a white, able bodied, queer person.  I truly believe there is bravery in slowing down with someone else and beginning to consider that your pain could use another heart to hold it. In our work together, I hope to help empower you to build a curious and understanding relationship with the distressed, normal, and brilliant parts of you that have been managing your suffering within the context of relationship challenges, family of origin difficulties, systemic injustice, and isms. Equally as important, I hope to support you in connecting with and caring for your younger self that might still be holding the burdens of past trauma. I deeply value working to offer folks a new relationship in therapy. One where collaborative planning with your nervous system will help to support us in centering a reparative experience. My approach is warm, compassionate, and curious. As someone who has struggled with knowing where myself and another ends and begins, I prioritize highlighting all that you already know about yourself and will support you in noticing and listening to your own voice.  I draw from Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused, Psychodynamic, Polyvagal, Intercultural Counseling, and Somatic Interventions. I have historically worked with trauma survivors, LGBTQ/Queer identified folks, folks with challenging family of origin relationships, and relationship issues.
For many of us, the hardest challenge to overcome is to ask for help. If you're reading this, you've already found the courage to start becoming the best version of yourself. While as an individual you are unique, none of us are perfect and we all experience conflict, hardships, and a variety of emotions. I believe our life experiences as well as cultural background influence the way in which we interact with the world. I am a strong proponent of collaboration and I view the therapeutic relationship as a team. I have daytime availability Monday through Thursday. If you feel overwhelmed with all of the changes in your life and in the world around you, or conversely feel numb and detached, let's talk. I practice with a variety of clients, however I specialize in teens and adults experiencing the effects of life changes and transitions, codependency, relationship issues, and managing work/life balance. I have a gentle approach to building relationships combined with down to earth 'real talk' about what can help you feel better. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques into our work together, and am someone who's open to feedback and learning about your unique perspective on the world.
I work with folks who identify outside of the box and don't fit into the "norm." My practice specializes in serving the queer community, folks in larger bodies, and those who find themselves to be “other.” I provide neurodiversity-affirming care for individuals who think, feel, and experience the world differently. I specialize in working with autistic and ADHD clients, as well as those who identify as neurodivergent in any way. I strive to bring empathy, compassion, and openness to every session. I value a collaborative approach where clients can guide treatment in the direction that feels most meaningful to them. Everyone’s story is unique, and I am here to honor yours. I believe that we all deserve a safe space to grow, heal, and be truly seen.
I believe that feeling heard is where healing begins and I strive to provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for you to feel heard and understood. I am passionate about working with people that are struggling and want to work towards achieving their best life, with more peace and joy. I specialize in working with clients that have experienced trauma and/or are struggling with substance use, depression, anxiety and having difficulty with managing emotions and stresses. My goal as your therapist is to support you in clarifying your needs, your goals, find meaning in life and become the best version of yourself. If we choose to work together, I will do everything I can to make sure you feel heard, respected and understood. It would be my honor to support you in setting and achieving your goals.

I work with people in transition or who are preparing for change. Artists, actors and writers. Those in bereavement. Or who are living with a catastrophic health-related diagnosis, recent or of long duration. Caregivers. Mental health interns who need to explore their own issues in order to practice mindfully. Folks who are using substances more than they want. People who want to decrease their distress but who also have a curiosity about its sources. People who want to talk with someone about the most important thing in the world, perhaps to discover what that is. My specialty is the intuitive analysis of what is most important to you. My experience has shown me that we carry within us the answers we're looking for. My skill is in eliciting these answers and reflecting them back to you so you recognize them. I've been trained in Depth psychology, Narrative psychology and Cognitive Behavior therapy, in dream analysis and evidence-based practices like Seeking Safety. In addition to private practice I've directed multiple community mental health and recovery programs, as well as provided training and clinical supervision to new therapists.
