At Hive Health, we believe healing is not one‑size‑fits‑all. Whether you’re a medical student carrying the weight of burnout, a young adult navigating life transitions, or a teen exploring your identity, you deserve care that sees the whole you. Like a hive, our well‑being is interconnected. When one part struggles, the whole system feels it. That’s why our approach is trauma‑informed, holistic, and culturally humble, addressing not just symptoms, but the deeper roots of stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout.

Thank you for stopping by! I'm Jenn! College is an incredible time where we are gaining independence and working towards our next phase of life while figuring out where we belong, what our next steps will be, and hopefully having some fun while we do it! My passion is working with young adults in helping them to better understand themselves, figure out where they want to go next, and navigate a new world of responsibility. As someone who spent 4 years in undergrad and 3 years in grad school myself, I know how hard it can be to be away from home, trying to figure out where you fit in both on campus and in the world as whole. Mental health needs don't stop because we've got work to do... in fact, they can feel much worse when accompanied by the additional demands of being a college student, being away from home, and not wanting to let your family down. Whether you could use some help deciding on a career path, adjusting to the change from high school to college, or are struggling with low self-esteem, lack of confidence, anxiety, stress, or relationship issues, I will work collaboratively with you, building on your strengths and what is important to you while helping to guide you towards the goals you would like to achieve, even if you're not quite sure what those goals are just yet!

Some clients arrive feeling the weight of their anxiety. Others are in the middle of a transition—navigating changes in relationships, family dynamics, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or ongoing health condition. These transition moments can bring a level of uncertainty that’s hard to tolerate and often lead to second-guessing, especially when your body or health begins to feel unpredictable or outside of your control. I also work with individuals who experience intrusive thoughts or feel caught in patterns meant to prevent something bad from happening. These thoughts can feel unsettling or even at odds with who you are—making them confusing, distressing, and difficult to talk about. For some, these experiences are connected to obsessive-compulsive patterns (often referred to as OCD), even if that’s not a term you’ve used for yourself before. There are effective, evidence-based ways to work with OCD patterns, and we can talk through what that might look like for you. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. You should want to talk to your therapist, and from the very beginning, I focus on creating a space where you can talk openly about what’s actually on your mind. The relationship between therapist and client matters deeply. Meaningful change tends to happen when people feel understood, respected, and able to show up honestly— even when what they’re bringing to session feels messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and no single approach works for every person or every situation. I draw from a range of approaches and tailor the work to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. Depending on what feels most helpful, this might include building a clearer understanding of the patterns you’re caught in, exploring where those patterns come from, or finding new ways to respond to them. Across all of this, my focus is on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck so they begin to have less of a hold on you over time.

I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Manhattan. After finishing a Masters of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania, I completed a four year post-graduate program at the William Alanson White Institute, a psychoanalytic institute in New York City. In my practice, I work with people who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals who are interested in improving their understanding of themselves or an aspect of their lives, or who want to be better able to make choices that lead to a sense of fulfillment. My goal is to provide a warm and collaborative relationship in which these topics can be explored. I believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is based on trust and can help bring about growth and change. I offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists in private practice and as part of the William Alanson White Institute's Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. I am also an Associate Editor for the academic journal Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

My approach is warm, energetic, and client-centered. I believe that no two clients are the same, so therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I strive to tailor each session to the individual, meeting clients where they are and focusing on what they need in that moment. Together, we create an approach that reflects each client's goals, readiness for change, and unique strengths to move forward and gain confidence.

As a therapist, I partner with you to make sense of your story. Through this work, we often discover together that what’s happening for you in the present makes perfect sense given what you’ve lived through so far and the forces that have shaped you. With this understanding, you can more easily access softness toward yourself and others, and even find other ways of being. I primarily practice from relational psychodynamic and trauma perspectives, drawing from neurodevelopmental, family systems, and body-based frames as appropriate. As a social worker, I am attuned to the ways that systems of power and oppression contribute to experiences of mental health.

**Weekday, Evening and Weekend Appointments Available** **Now seeing clients in Massachusetts and New Mexico** Are you caught up in a seemingly endless cycle of addiction to alcohol or drugs? Well, I have good news and bad news for you. Let’s start with the bad news: it takes significant effort to stop addictive behaviors, and to address the underlying emotional or trauma issues that compel you to relapse over and over again. There’s no magic wand, no Abracadabra. Now the good news: The cycle doesn’t have to be endless. Recovery is possible! I have 25 years experience working in the addictions and mental health treatment field--in settings ranging from group homes to treatment centers. I also specialize in teaching coping skills for trauma and emotions that tend to drive us back to our addictive behaviors. My approach is eclectic, client-centered, empathic, and goal-directed. I can help you chart a path to sobriety and wellness, and to begin to address the underlying reasons behind self-defeating behaviors or troubling emotions in the here and now. Hi and welcome—I’m really glad you found your way here! College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming—classes, relationships, family expectations, figuring out who you are, and making decisions about the future. It’s normal to feel stressed, stuck, or unsure at times. I work with students who are navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem, identity, relationships, grief, trauma, and big life transitions. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth—I want our sessions to feel like a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are. My goal is to support you in making sense of what you’re going through, building tools that actually fit your life. Therapy doesn’t have to be heavy all the time—it can also be a space to reflect, grow, and discover new parts of yourself. If this feels like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d love to connect!
