Feeling anxious? You are not alone. It can be easy to end up feeling overwhelmed, uncertain and depressed - The pressures of relationships, school or work, family, friends all seem to pile up - and then taking care of yourself ends up on the bottom of the priority list. At Movemental Wellbeing, my approach is to help create a calm space where the anxiety and overwhelm don't have such a profound hold on you. One of the best strategies I know to do this is to find opportunities to go outside with clients, to go for a walk, and to feel connected and understood. Many of my colleagues and clients describe me as having a calm and compassionate presence, and that is the foundation of my work with you. Beyond that, I also believe that therapy doesn't have to be hard all the time. I like to find moments of humor, fun, joy and play and to make sessions experiential and movement-based to support all aspects of you. If the typical version of therapy (sitting and talking) doesn't feel like the best way for you to do this work, let's try something different. I'm committed to making therapy engaging, insightful and thought-provoking (and even fun). If this sounds like a refreshing approach that you might be interested in trying, please schedule a free consult call!

I am a social worker focused primarily on helping those with a wide variety of mental health concerns. With a background in therapeutic communities, I believe it is essential to protect the dignity and humanity of a patient no matter the extent of their suffering. My work is guided by psychoanalysis and phenomenology, which allow me to collaboratively explore the meaning of one's difficulties with a patient in the context of their life to alleviate rather than manage symptoms. I pride myself on work with clients who are apprehensive about therapy, have stalled in therapy in the past, are skeptical of modern paradigms of mental health, have had unusual experiences or have unusual spiritual beliefs, have been called too smart for their own good or have otherwise been made to feel difficult.

Hello! My name is Angela, and I am glad you are here! College can be a stressful time for a lot of people, so if you are feeling overwhelmed or just in need of some support, you are not alone. I typically work with clients who are experiencing some level of anxiety, stress/overwhelm, difficulty adjusting, and/or ADHD (whether diagnosed or questioning). You can expect a casual, welcoming environment in our sessions, where you can show up authentically, no matter what life has thrown your way that week! Sessions take place via telehealth, and I am licensed in both NJ and MA. I take some insurances through Headway, and can provide superbills for those with out of network benefits.
I provide my clients with telehealth (online) therapy so that we can meet their goals from the comfort of their home, or other easy to access and confidential location. I serve clients located in CT or MA at the time of their sessions.
The clients I work with are often creative, sensitive people-pleasers who are feeling overwhelmed and alone. They’re struggling with their relationships and figuring out who they are and where they fit. Life is exhausting, as they second-guess every word that comes out of their mouth. The noise of everyone else’s expectations makes it impossible to sort out what they really want. With a compassionate and playful approach, we will break down your fears while uncovering what gives you strength, what lights you up, and what helps you feel confident.
My name is Sheri Cheng and I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor seeing clients in-office or through telehealth. I have worked with a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and autism in individual and group therapy. My specialties include social skills development, emotional regulation, and strengthening interpersonal relationships. I am committed to a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens to create a welcoming and safe therapeutic environment. I use diverse, evidence-based approaches including acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered, and solution-focused theories.
You’re thoughtful, capable, and often the one others rely on—but inside, you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. Many of my clients struggle with overgiving, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship stress, or burnout. I help you understand your patterns, strengthen your voice, and build healthier, more balanced relationships so you can feel grounded, respected, and more like yourself again. I specialize in helping high-functioning adults navigate anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. Using a trauma-informed, integrative approach (CBT, DBT, EMDR), I support you in setting boundaries, regulating emotions, and creating healthier patterns in your life and relationships. You don’t have to carry everything on your own. If you’re ready to feel more supported, clear, and emotionally grounded, therapy can help you move forward with confidence and intention. I’d be honored to support you in this next chapter. My mission is to help people heal, grow and thrive - so they can achieve their goals and improve their lives. I provide a safe, open environment to talk about any and all experiences or feelings. Sometimes, it is simply to talk with an unbiased, nonjudgmental listener. Whichever it may be, I am privileged to take the journey with you. I will understand you as as a whole person, rather than a series of symptoms and diagnoses. I will pay attention to your background, your strengths, and the way we work together in addition to the presenting problem/s. I have worked in a variety of settings in the area, from several college counseling centers, community mental health facilities, and private practice. I draw upon this diverse training and experience to work with my clients.
