Welcome. My name is Kate, and I offer psychodynamically oriented, trauma-informed, compassionate, and affirming therapy to folks of all kinds. I work with people across the lifespan, many of whom identify as queer and/or neurodivergent and are trying to make sense of a world that can feel overwhelming. Some are living with long-term stress, trauma, anxiety, or depression, while others are seeking support with life transitions, relationships, or family dynamics. I also offer clinical supervision. Clients often value working with me when they feel ready to explore their inner world more deeply—to better understand the hopes and fears beneath relational and behavioral patterns that increase suffering. I also regularly offer skills-based techniques, drawing from DBT, to help with in-the-moment management of distress and emotional overwhelm. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to a successful experience. My hope is to provide every client with a safe, supportive space to explore, learn more about themselves, feel truly seen, heard and accepted, build new skills, grow, and reconnect with who they really are. I look forward to connecting with you.
I help young adults dealing with trauma, mood issues, life transitions, and big questions about identity and purpose. My work focuses on how your personal experiences, family history, and social environment impact your mental health. I specialize in healing intergenerational trauma and mood disorders, using a culturally sensitive, relational approach. What sets me apart is integrating spirituality and liberation psychology into therapy. If you're open to it, we can explore spiritual practices and work to critically examine beliefs and systems. If you feel we could be a good fit, reach out for a consultation—I'm here to support.
The best mental health care occurs when the patient's needs are prioritized and deeply integrated into the treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts, phobias, learning difficulties, physical symptoms tied to mental health, depression, grief, or feeling like a dark cloud is always blocking out your light, help is available. By creating a judgment-free environment that fosters safe and open communication, we’ll work together to carefully assess your or your loved one’s unique situation and develop the most effective care plan. I believe the key to addressing many unwanted feelings and behaviors lies in combining holistic and pharmacological approaches, including modifying one's environment, engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and using medications to address chemical imbalances in the brain. As your provider, I will work diligently to create a personalized medication plan that alleviates your challenges while minimizing tolerable side effects. Additionally, using evidence-based measurement tools, we can track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments along the way. OFFERING VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS... Sometimes the roads we chose to traverse become less easy to navigate as situations change, circumstances reach beyond our control, or life simply needs some readjusting to get back on track. I strive to provide individual clients and couples with a vehicle to discover the answers that they seek about themselves and their relationships. I help clients learn the tools they need to navigate the road on their own, and find the healing that they desire. My goal as a therapist is to foster a genuine and welcoming environment that facilitates a safe space for clients to experience personal growth and positive change. I work with adults, college age students, and their families. I specialize in relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
We provide individual, group, and couples counseling to those struggling with finding their authentic selves. We can help students with adjusting to coursework and supporting learning challenges. We have professionals who are experienced with creating strategies to be a successful student such as executive functioning strategies and working with neurodiversity. Our professionals seek to assist you with managing difficult emotions and relationships.
Through my own lived experience, I can deeply resonate with the realities my Millennial and Gen Z clients face. Dating, social media, politics, finances, and demands from school or work can be so daunting. My main priority as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental, engaging, and approachable environment where you feel empowered to navigate these challenges together. Just having one of those days where you need to vent about your mom, partner, or roommate? There’s plenty of space for that too. While I pull from many approaches in my work, I especially enjoy utilizing skills-based therapies like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). These can address concerns like anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep, and more. My goal is that you leave each and every session feeling more ready to take on what life is throwing your way. If you’re looking to gain control amidst our out-of-control world, I’d love to connect with you. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation.
Life isn't something we should be expected to take on alone. I would be proud to be part of your community and walk alongside you in this journey. I am here to support you in the good moments and the tough ones, too. My passion is caring for other BIPOC individuals’ mental health as they experience an array of life's transitions—higher education, struggling with emerging adulthood, early career & helping professionals, postpartum, parenthood, LGBTQ+ identity, children of immigrants, and anything else that may be feeling too heavy to carry on your own.
As a licensed social worker, I specialize in helping individuals, both adolescents and adults, navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower my clients to manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and to feel more comfortable with the inevitable discomfort and uncertainty that humans face daily. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their struggles. I believe in a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. I also value open communication, so I encourage feedback throughout our work together to ensure we are on the right path. I am passionate about this work because I truly believe that with the right tools and support, everyone has the ability to live a value-based life. I love seeing my clients develop a better understanding of their strengths and learn to live with uncertainty. It is amazing to me how much bigger the world can seem when we are not constrained by our fears.
Your voice and perspective as a woman or girl are celebrated here. This is a dedicated space where you can be comfortable discussing female centered topics and experiences. I believe that social interactions, societal stresses and unique biology impact girls and women in ways that require a female centered lens for mental health treatment. Coming to therapy knowing this is a specialized practice can lead to greater comfort exploring trauma and female specific issues. These deeper conversations build the therapeutic alliance and increase the potential that women and girls will see improvement in their mental health symptoms

Their specialties include queer and trans issues, identity exploration, anxiety disorders, depression, psychotic disorders, and adjustment to adulthood. Based on the preferences and needs of their patients, Cameron typically integrates an eclectic mix of DBT, CBT, social justice-oriented intersectional feminism, relational cultural theory, expressive arts, peer support-based principles, and trauma-informed practice into their conversations. When they are not working, Cameron enjoys foraging for wild foods in nature, riding their longboard along the bike path, and attending concerts and festivals. At home, they frequently cook meals for their friends and family, do arts and crafts, and their feisty cat Chessie never fails to keep them on their toes.

Hello and welcome! Having worked in academic settings as a teacher and college counselor since 2004, I understand the multiple stressors that can impact students' lives. In my practice, I primarily lead with an interpersonal, relational framework to assist you in establishing a safe and supportive space from which treatment can begin. My co-therapist is my dog, Dahlia, who will serve as a comforting companion in your introspective journey. I also incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems, Animal Assisted Therapy (Canine), Nature Walk Therapy, Psychodynamic, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness models when clinically appropriate. Most of my sessions are done online with the option for in-person Nature Therapy sessions, when requested. The emphasis of our collaboration will be on developing new paradigms for self-compassion, cultivating self-care practices, and expanding your self-awareness. Let me know how I might help.

The journey towards self-discovery is a valuable and worthwhile endeavor, deserving of the effort required to connect with one's authentic self. I believe in the inherent capacity for individuals to thrive and undergo meaningful personal growth. Throughout our work together we will create an environment where vulnerability is embraced, challenging conversations occur, and discomfort is acknowledged as a catalyst for growth and change, as we explore and unravel learned patterns that may no longer serve you. My therapeutic approach is characterized by flexibility, adapting to your unique needs and preferences. I highly value your feedback, ensuring that our collaboration is a dynamic and responsive process. Grounded in an intersectional understanding of trauma, neurodiversity, and systemic oppression, I aim not only to delve into your internal world but also to consider the impact of external factors on your well-being. Therapy with me involves taking the time to connect with your joys, struggles, history, and hopes, facilitating a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of yourself. Focusing on complex trauma and neurodiversity, I have a profound appreciation for the richness and complexity of people's stories. I am committed to supporting your growth and change while acknowledging and welcoming all facets of your identity. Furthermore, I am dedicated to my own ongoing learning on social justice topics and anti-racism, recognizing the importance of understanding my own identities (both privileged and marginalized) to create an inclusive and empathic therapeutic environment. I believe that my work as a therapist is not just about individual growth but empowering my clients to recognize and dismantle the damaging and broken systems in their lives. As the therapeutic relationship is central to our work and not every therapist is going to be the best fit for you, I encourage you to take advantage of my 15 minute free consultation. This way we can discuss what you are looking for from therapy and I can answer any questions you might have about starting therapy with me. I look forward to hearing from you!
