Welcome, I'm glad you made it. I am a psychotherapist specializing in individual work around emotional awareness, attachment, relationships, anxiety and depression. I work within a specific model of therapy called AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), which is informed by the latest research on neuroscience, attachment, relationships, emotion, and how change happens in therapy, through the relationship and within the nervous system and the brain. I choose to receive weekly consultation from an expertly trained AEDP therapist who helps me to help you. I am constantly learning and expanding my knowledge and skill base as a therapist. My clients experience a deeper sense of safety, security and confidence in themselves, their relationships and the world. My clients often decrease their anxiety, depression, or unwanted worry by learning to recognize, and be with feelings in a way that feels tolerable and leads to positive feeling states of relief, calm, clarity, self-understanding, growth and compassion. If there is any part of you that has felt like you are too much or not enough, I think I can help. I look forward to connecting to you if it's feeling right.

I am passionate about helping people be the best versions of themselves. I am excited to help people find the tools to reach their personal goals along with processing the events and situations that come up in life as they arise. I have worked with clients from all walks of life and in low to high acuity environments. The tools that I support clients with can save lives and dramatically change people’s quality of life. I try to meet every client where they are at in each session, exploring the things that matter to them. I want every client that I work with to feel seen and validated from their own perspective. Trust with my clients is built through consistency and collaboration. I want everyone that I work with to feel like I am a part of their team and support network to help them navigate life’s challenges together.

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience in telehealth care. As a registered nurse, I worked inpatient psychiatric adolescent and child units. I also have experience as a school nurse for the special education division. Mental health tends to have a stigma attached to it. What inspires me is the people I encounter who are brave enough to be honest and open with me about their mental health struggles. I like to reciprocate the same energy they’re bringing to our meetings and look forward to helping them reach their own mental health goals. I use a lot of open-ended questions and encourage my patients to be active in their care. I am here for support and provide expertise in areas where I can. At the end of the day, I prioritize the patient’s confidence and comfortability with the treatment plan. All psychiatry providers at Foresight have specialized experience in treating a wide range of common mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, and PTSD. In addition, I specialize in the following areas: academic stress, deprescribing, holistic approaches to psychiatry, autism spectrum disorder, first responders, grief, women’s issues (PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, etc.)

College can be exciting, meaningful, and full of opportunity-but it can also feel overwhelming at times. If you are struggling with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or uncertainty about your future, you don't have to navigate it alone. I enjoy working with college students and young adults in helping them manage the different life stresses that occur during these times. Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand yourself and develop practical tools for moving forward. My approach is collaborative and evidenced based. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and insight-oriented therapy to help you reduce anxiety while building resilience, confidence, and self compassion. Therapy can help you quiet the constant self criticism, improve relationships, , make decisions with greater confidence, and reconnect with what matters most to you. I am licensed in California and Colorado. My physical office is in San Diego for those who prefer in-person. I also offer telemedicine appointments. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength. I would be glad to help you navigate this important chapter of your life with greater clarity, confidence, and peace

My approach is warm, transparent, and collaborative. My aim is to build a trustworthy relationship with you, from which we can jointly address difficult thoughts, complex emotions, or challenging situations presented in life. We will work together to integrate suitable evidence-based strategies with the ultimate objective to build healthier habits to adjust the way you feel, think, and behave. For over 10 years, I have been in the field working with youth, families, and adults through various life challenges toward a more enriching and fulfilling life. I love facilitating the therapeutic process because I believe that everyone deserves to be acknowledged and to have their voice found and heard. In the therapeutic work, I take into account the many identities we embody and how society and culture impact our mental health. It brings me great satisfaction and humility to be in a role where my clinical knowledge, skills, and warm approach nourishes transformation from distress to confidence and contentment. I am motivated by the idea that every human being deserves to be truly heard by someone they believe cares about their wellbeing. I am confident that through mindful and empathetic exploration in a safe and trusting space, many reoccurring and/or cooccurring somatic, emotional, and psychological difficulties may be better understood and processed in a way that can facilitate a deeper understanding of ourselves and the environments in which we exist. I am an existential and humanistic provider who believes that we are driven by our unconscious and because of this, past psychological, emotional, and physical injuries may leave an imprint on our psyche that can continue to interrupt our lives and reinjure us unless we can see ourselves and our part in these injurious events differently. I use an eclectic treatment style that includes many different treatment modalities such as Mindfulness, Bilateral Tapping, CBT, DBT, cognitive reframing, and MI. I have had the opportunity to work with many different socioeconomic populations from the homeless to the very wealthy with conditions ranging from addiction and obsessive disorders to depression and anxiety. They each come with an interesting and unique perspective. I come from a background of childhood trauma, abuse, and addiction. My journey began with a 9th grade education and homelessness as I traveled my road of happy destiny to a Bachelors and Masters degree with two professional licenses (LPCC & LAADC) in the state of California, and continues to unfold today. I have turned my life’s experiences into a place of wisdom and growth and have dedicated my life and career to helping others find the light in whatever darkness they are experiencing.

My work is relationally based, and I additionally integrate the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both mind/body modalities. These approaches have been transformational for myself and many clients I have witnessed because they offer an orientation of radical openness and compassionate inquiry about all parts of your experience.

The challenges and struggles we face in life can leave us feeling helpless and hopeless. Perhaps you’re overwhelmed with responsibilities. You might be taking care of other people and neglecting yourself. Or you might be struggling hard to make an important relationship work. You’ve tried more traditional kinds of self-help or therapy, and you’re ready for a different kind of therapy which integrates the mind, body and spirit.
