My name is Horace Liang and I am a Mental Health Trainee currently pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant University. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations. Please reach out via email or phone to schedule a call. My goal in therapy is to foster a safe space for all individuals to express who they truly are and discover their life values. I approach therapy with a curious mindset and encourage others to tell me their stories. I am particularly fascinated with Attachment Theory where early relationships with caregivers can influence an individual’s development. I work with individuals of various ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and life experiences. I am currently amidst a career change after 8 years in the biotech industry. When not working, I can be found motorcycling on mountain roads, inhaling food, and playing with my three fur babies, Creme, Brulee & Buddy.
I work with folks navigating various life and identity-related stressors, significant life changes, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Being in school comes with its own unique challenges, while daily personal and global issues are still showing up and impacting us. I've worked with folks from many walks of life, and have extensive experience supporting people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community. My modalities encompass various forms of talk therapy, as well as somatic therapy, ecotherapy, and Brainspotting.
Do you need help juggling a busy schedule or an active lifestyle? Are you overwhelmed with life's circumstances while trying to manage your personal, professional, and private life? Feel like you are losing control? Feel isolated and alone or so stressed and anxious that it affects your daily activities? Do you use the arts (dancing, acting, singing, music, painting, drawing, or writing) or other creative means to escape or heal? If any of these resonate with you, allow me to help you. Conquering these emotions is a task you no longer have to do alone. For over 30 years, I have been working with teens and adults on these specific issues and more. I've guided creatives and out-of-the-box thinkers like you through the intricate landscape of their emotions and challenges. Using a therapeutic approach explicitly customized for you, I assist you in unraveling communication barriers, navigating relationship complexities, and managing the overwhelming stress of your dynamic lifestyle. Together, we explore creative insights, identify and release roadblocks, and develop tailored coping mechanisms. Life's circumstances can be overwhelming, especially when you feel out of control, isolated, stressed, and stuck, affecting every aspect of your daily activities. I understand the challenges of anxiety and self-doubt and the search for calm amid chaos. If you're lost, let's explore emotions, uncover strengths, and forge a path toward clarity. My approach is holistic, eclectic, strength-focused, and tailored, with you at the center of your journey. I provide a safe space where you can freely and creatively address your life challenges and, in doing so, empower you to explore your feelings, identify your options, discuss steps, discover your inner strength, and guide you toward the clarity you seek.

Hello. I’m Jonathan Oh, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Fullerton, California. Everyone has their own story and journey full of ups and downs, it would be my honor to come along beside you and provide a safe space to process and explore together. My therapeutic approach is based in Attachment and Psychodynamic theories. I believe that our experiences in life play a pivotal role in how we approach what is in front of us. Through the exploration of our past and the relationships in our past, we can gain a fuller understanding of the root causes of our pain. I enjoy doing the slow, long work of uncovering the root of the issue. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, shame, relational issues, multicultural issues, pornography addiction, life-stage transitions, as well as spiritual issues. To clients who are interested, I am able to integrate spirituality in the therapeutic work.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona, North Carolina, and South Carolina (LMFT 10386 Arizona, LMFT 20460 North Carolina, LMFT 8265 South Carolina, LMFT 155822 California). I specialize in working with individuals, young adults, and couples/families. My approach to therapy is collaborative and focused on helping all clients feel safe and comfortable in sessions so that change is more likely to occur. I am passionate about helping others heal so that they can feel fulfilled and aligned in life. I love helping clients feel unstuck and helping them get back in touch with their authentic selves so that they can know their worth. I believe that we are all capable of healing and that we have the ability to heal ourselves with the right resources and supports. I used intuitive approaches when working with clients and our work is tailored to fit your needs. I have advanced training in Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which allows me to understand how clients’ attachment histories have led to insecurities, feeling stuck, low self-esteem, trauma responses, interpersonal conflict, disconnection in relationships and negative narratives. This model allows individuals and families to heal past hurts and get unstuck from repetitive negative patterns. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which is an empirically validated model for trauma therapy, and Brainspotting (BSP) Therapy. These models focus on resolving ongoing trauma symptoms by helping the brain and body process information that is uncomfortable or disturbing so that the information is less painful.

Do you find it difficult to enjoy life and pursue goals because of these problems? We all experience anxiety sometimes, but if it interferes with your social life, daily functioning, or work I want you to know there is hope. I'm an experienced psychologist with a passion for helping people suffering from anxiety, worry, OCD, insomnia, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and depression. In the context of a caring and supportive relationship, let's work together on tools to combat these problems. Research has found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy are effective treatments for anxiety and depression. The CBT techniques I utilize will help you feel happier, content, less worried and anxious. Clients who are willing to work hard experience improvements in just a few months, and often retain these gains after therapy has ended.

At the Heart is a community counseling center whose goal is to bridge the gap that exists in access to services and to help heal our community, families, and individuals. All members of our community need respect and acceptance. Our counselors provide a caring and non-judgemental environment for clients to get the support and encouragement they need, when they need it. We provide both traditional/secular counseling and Christian based counseling, determined by a client's preference. We have a Peer or Lay Counseling Division which is an every day person that is passionate and has a heart for helping others, life experience, and has completed a 13 week (40 hour) counseling course through At the Heart. The course addresses depression, trauma, anxiety, suicidality, grief/loss, child abuse, domestic violence, addiction, and mindfulness. These providers could be nurses, teachers, stay at home parents, retirees, and so on. They have an open heart and a willingness to listen and encourage. We have a Professional Division which involves Trainees, Associates/Interns, and Pastors. Trainees are Graduate/Doctoral school students in the field of counseling that need to acquire hours towards graduation and licensure. Associate and Interns are Post-Masters/Doctoral Graduates that are accruing hours towards licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Professional Clinical Counseling. All of our counseling staff receive weekly case consultation and supervision by a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has special training in supervising non-licensed clinicians. Be assured, you will be provided with quality care and support. It is a team approach. Contact us today to speak with a scheduler who will match you with a counselor who is best suited to meet your needs.
