My style and approach tend to be a good fit for young adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and societal pressures. I aim to support my clients in navigating these issues and to build skills to develop a more positive life. My communication style is calm, direct, and adaptable. I want my clients to feel comfortable and supported when talking to me about anything they want to share at their own pace. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client, but I tend to lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive psychology, or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. These modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality, and allow us to work together to create change. “I’m the loneliest girl in the world,” you think to yourself while lying in bed at night. Your parents, partner, and friends are of absolutely no help. In fact, when you go to them with your problems, they only make things worse—offering their BS life advice or making it all about themselves. Ugh. Once again, you feel alone—utterly alone. Your heart breaks when a friend cancels plans and then you criticize yourself vehemently for being “so sensitive” and for expecting so much of others. To comfort yourself, you seek food, booze, or zoning out on Netflix but nothing works. What’s a 20-something girl with her whole life ahead of her to do? It may feel like this is “it” for the rest of your life—a lonely existence—but it’s not. I help women just like you to attain the connection, confidence, and contentment you crave. By working through what lead to your loneliness, feeling “all the feels,” and finding ways to show up for yourself, you will transform from being utterly lonely to simply…happy. You’ve been feeling lonely for far too long. It’s time, sis. Nothing’s worked but therapy will. Pick up the phone and give me a call. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation for you to ask questions and make sure we have “good vibes.” Next, we will schedule our initial session and officially put an end to your lonely existence.

In the context of a caring and supportive relationship, let's work together on tools to combat these problems. Research has found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy are effective treatments for anxiety and depression. The CBT techniques I utilize will help you feel happier, content, less worried and anxious. Clients who are willing to work hard experience improvements in just a few months, and often retain these gains after therapy has ended.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, coaching youth sports, camping, the outdoors and spending time with my many pets

Whether you’re starting fresh, returning to school, or trying to find your footing again, support is needed. I’ve been there myself, and I understand how demanding and overwhelming this stage of life can feel. Your schedule is constantly changing, relationships can feel uncertain, and even when this is “supposed” to be the best time of your life, it can still feel like too much. Many of the students and young adults I work with come to therapy carrying pressure from school, family expectations, relationships, work, or simply trying to keep up with life. My goal is not to add to that pressure, but to create a space where you can slow down, process what you’re carrying, and build practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and life transitions. Together, we work on building coping skills, managing stress and anxiety, improving self-understanding, and finding healthier ways to navigate the demands of everyday life. I support college students, young adults, and returning students in creating more balance while still making space for who they are outside of school, work, and expectations.
